Peace brother. I see we are both listening to Om. Some of my all time favourite bands are from Germany! The band in my avatar (obvious), Ash Ra Tempel, Colour Haze, the list goes on.

You're quite right, except that when in ancient times hinduism was a philosophical, logical way of life, it's now reduced to just another money laundering, unreasonable and primitive religion. There's still a lot to learn and take from it if you interpret it correctly :) Like sanskrit chants, carnatic music, yoga, ayurveda, math and all that, they're great. And about Ganesha, he's the son of Shiva, Vishnu's another important god, I cannot explain it in brief though because it's mythological. People here worship all of them together because rituals are quite big and complex. But I do not believe in going and worshipping idols in temples or home, instead a sincere prayer to the First Cause (that which scientists say who existed before big bang) is a lot more satisfying thing. Oh and by the way, do you live in southern US?
