So I found parks first ever release. haha. it's a tape cassette, blue screen demo. three different versions of songs that are on scene 14 and then vine, a song i had never heard of. now all i need to do is get like 4 or 5 single tracks they did randomly, split with civic and then like a couple songs they did on various artist cd's and i think i'm complete. but i think that'll be a slim.

we need to get up to, "su per" yo!...but i forgot how amazingly awesome, "a catch without arms is," every song is sweet.

Yeah, I'm torn on this album. I am overwhelmed with elation for Nate, Andrew & Jack that they're getting this level of recognition but I wish they had gotten there with Aim & Ignite. I've listened about a halfdozen times so far and it's growing on me actually but there are too many elements (vocal effects, over-the-top production elements) that drag it down not allowing it to reach any really higher status. "Some Nights" and "Carry On" are two stand-outs for me. --- As for other music, right now Good Old War is tearing up the charts as well as a great Seattle band Deep Sea Diver, The Shins' new album and North Korea (Ryan Hunter from EOTC). I can't wait to get listening to the new Sharks album as well!!

Yeah, I haven't listened to music in bulk as much this year as in the past which eats me up thinking of all the albums I HAVEN'T listened to but at the same time, I'm enjoying what I have heard so thoroughly that it's okay. I've been far too über busy with school to attempt many shows which makes me almost more regretful than the quantity of music I've listened to. I'm going to see the staked Thrice tour next week and interviewing O'Brother. If I had to make 3 suggestions in music it would be: O'Brother, Kiev (the band I previously mentioned) and the new IATA.

Yeah, agree 100% with Jack's Mannequin. There are no ups and downs; just a cd chocked full of mid-tempo radio songs. However, Television and Amelia Jean are really good! I've been listening to two GREAT local bands: We Barbarians & Kiev. The latter is a perfect mix of Radiohead electronics, MuteMath synths & Menomena's horns and energy. We Barbarians have that moody West Coast... old school sound. They have a Cold War Kids/Delta Spirit vibe with a dingier sound. Can't stop listening to new IATA too; man that was worth the wait. I didn't think so on the first few listens but now I can't stop listening! Let me know if you want to check out either of those first two bands I mentioned.

I love it! But yeah, a lot of people have said that it sounds like AVA, but whatever. It's new blink, I'm just happy they're back.

i like a mixed up recently played list.

They really do. I saw them last summer at Warped tour and Wesley was such a humble guy. He got off stage and introduced himself. Then I met the rest of them at their tent, and they were all so sweet and precious :3 I love that band so much.
