Why thank you! I have always felt that way about effloresce too, it's way more obvious to divide it into parts on that record than on Self Preserved though. I think it's meant to be viewed that way, where as the thing with Self Preserved is probably just our own imagination. Either way is fine with me :)

Nor are katatonia these days really. Viva Emptiness and Great Cold Distance are good starters. They're not the most uplifting band, but like anathema they're sort of like melancholic rock/metal. They've not been doom metal for about 10 years because the singer can't growl anymore. The vocals are all clean

re: the From The Sky thing, the second record was recorded in the drummers bedroom so the quality isnt the best. The new stuff (we're called Helsingfors now) is back up to proper studio quality. Hope you like.

haha yeah, the main rhythm from bodies in flight is really similar to the bit Gambler plays on the guitar in sleeping dogs. I remember thinking that the first time I head sleeping dogs! I think early biffy lent a lot towards oceansize's sound. I haven't know but you have reminded me so I will do!

yeah from what I've heard of thrice they sound really good! I recently checked out some of Vheissu and it was really good. My local record store has the alchemy index in there is it worth getting? because it sounds like it could be really good and it looks cool

You have some pretty cool top artists that i like and some i don't like haha. I guess that would be the same for you looking at mine. I love Yndi Halda but inly have the two free downloads from lastfm and i certainly don't listen to them that much haha. You have some awesome artists in your library!
