Why do people use 'core' as a suffix, it isn't any more descriptive. I'd argue it is. Core is generally used to describe a more 'intense' genre unlike using the suffix pop to describe something as being more 'easy on the ears' e.g. [tag]mathcore[/tag] and [tag]mathpop[/tag].
