Countdown' is the latest album release on the Brusio netlabel, and the first release on the label by the artist Static Waves.
The three extended tracks on the album are characterised by an experimental approach to conceptual documentation and are produced specifically with a hardware only approach. This gives the work an aesthetic of machines consistently in a state of just-controlled balance, especially on the first track 'Metalmeccanica' which brings to mind a new-born robot finding it's voice. The final track 'Call Centre' is recollective of the alienation of mass communication and the isolation of the individual in the faux-community of cubicle offices. Good listening.
