don't get me wrong, nick mason is awesome, but he did seem to oversimplify his style as time went on. the stuff from 66-67 is amazingly intricate jazzy drumming. in my opinion his best playing was on meddle, live at pompeii and dark side. really emotive powerful playing but still complex and impressive. oh, and yeah, i'm a drummer ;)

this album and the VHS-release were my first REAL experience of Pink Floyd. still a masterpiece in my eyes. even better than P.U.L.S.E. the interpretations of "Sorrow", "On The Turning Away", "One Of These Days" and "Comfortably Numb" hit me like a... yeah, what... like a lightning. and of course "The Great Gig in the Sky" on the VHS...
