Annual Bluegrass Festival to have International Performer Beppe Gambetta Headline

Morrisville, PA - The Seventh annual Bucks County Bluegrass Festival will have an international flare to it with Italian born acoustic guitar flatpicker and singer Beppe Gambetta headlining.   The Friday September 5th and Saturday 6th Bluegrass Festival will also include the HogMaw, from York, Pennsylvania who are festival favorites and will close both nights on the picturesque pastures of Snipes Farm in Morrisville.   Special Guest and Master of Ceremonies is Gene Shay, host of WXPN’s Folk Show for over 50 years and one of the founders of the Philadelphia Folk Festival.

Beppe Gambetta has been called a "virtual United Nations of influences: Italian, Ukrainian, Appalachian, Sardinian, Celtic" by Acoustic Guitar magazine.  After eleven CDs, DVDs, teaching books and collaborations with many other top-flight musicians, Gambetta is increasingly known as one of the true live master innovators of the acoustic guitar.  In his career he has performed with some great heroes of the folk scene like David Grisman, Gene Parsons, Doc Watson, Norman Blake, Tony Trischka, and with the band Men Of Steel.  Gambetta's playing and singing stand out for their intimate emotions, tone, and humor.  

Also on this incredible festival are, Sully’s Fortune, Boulevard Express, The Magnolia Street Bluegrass Band, Mountain Ride, Boiled Owls, and many more.

There will be a Children’s Music Workshop (1pm) where kids will be able to directly experience songwriting by national recording artist and Family Roots Musician, Bobby Beetcut.  Some participants in the workshop will have the opportunity to participate in a live performance at the festival on the side stage during his performance.

The family-friendly festival will start on Friday with gates open at 5PM and music starting at 6:30PM and running until 10:30PM.  On Saturday gates open at 10AM with music beginning at 11:00AM and running all day until 11:00PM.

Music at Snipes Farm has been using the farm as a backdrop for a unique music venue, hosting a variety of concerts and festivals since 2003.  Bring a blanket, lawn chairs and enjoy the most beautiful concert venue in the area.  

Ticket prices for the Bucks County Bluegrass Festival are: Saturday Sept. 6thth $20 for advance purchase and $25 day of show; One night tent camping is $5 extra; All Weekend Ticket is $45 advance; $55 at the gate(includes two nights camping); RV and trailer camping are available for $20 and require the purchase of at least two All Weekend tickets - advance purchase is strongly advised - RV and trailer tickets can be purchased through TicketLeap online.  We cannot guarantee RV and trailer space without an advance ticket.  This show is appropriate for all ages and children 12 and under free with paid adult admission.  For further information and directions go to www.musicatsnipesfarm.com.  Snipes Farm is located at 882 West Bridge St., Morrisville, PA 19067.  

Weekend two day pass with camping included is $45 and includes two nights camping - it will be $55 at the gate.  A Saturday only pass is available for $20 advance camping NOT included ($5 extra available at gate) - The Saturday only pass at the gate will be $25 - camping available for $5 extra.
