please listen to jerry paper

Happy Halloween

oi sam. it's not their best, but it's up there with their stellar standard. :) recommended listening partnered with the new rogue wave album!

oi. new animal collective = good..?

how ya doin' bud?

so are you from Colorado? you have an impressive library

I saw him last September at Lee's Palace in Toronto. Really good show. I just about got thrown out for sparkin up a dube. The bouncer was nice enough to say "yr welcome to do that outside.. but not in here" :D

have you seen kurt vile live?

hello. cool page

can't go wrong with a little iggy pop in the evening... good night!

"The Complete SAR Records Recordings" - it's the first i ever heard any of his stuff. couple of good tracks. nice cooke voice. i'd recommend it.

chheaa i knew you'd like those king krule releases

new deerhunter is quite magnificent, isn't it?

@ your avatar: i love that episode

I can't help but notice you've been listening to Elvis recently. Tsk Tsk, man. Tsk Tsk.

You're welcome.

Haha, that's what happens when you go to your old lady's house and leave me responsible for these kinds of decisions. I'm downloading part 1 of that Big Youth comp and once rapidshare deems me worthy I will download part 2 and know what all the hubbub is, bub.

Dig it! http://theodays.bandcamp.com/

I saw you asked for someone direct you to the album page Caetano Veloso, 1971. Here it is: http://www.lastfm.com.br/music/Caetano+Veloso/Caetano+Veloso+(1971)

"everybody digs bill evans", somebody once said. have you heard Sunday At The Village Vanguard yet? I might have played part of it for you once, I think it was one of the last ones before Scott LaFaro passed (and he really stands out on it too.)

I've never heard of them but I'll check them out for sure. But yeah, everything the Bill Evans Trio did was magic. IT's a real bummer LaFaro died when he did.

Sweet man, I'll get to work on finding that one.

i was wondering when you'd check out Two Steps From The Blues again

Well that's a bummer. But at least all the music is safe.

Haha, what happened to your computer this time?

Hey! I finally caught up to you. We're neck and neck at 40 tracks a day.

spaniels 40th anniversary compilation.... GOOD IDEA! :)

I really liked the album I got last night so I'll definitely be getting some more. It's hard to go wrong with alt. country.

God damn you! Whenever I jump up another track-per-day you do too but you're always one ahead!

hey, i'm listening to the dope & glory album and i really wish you had those recordings you and your friends did while we were in colorado. i would love to listen to them.

Where did you get the Nothing is Real (Private Tapes 1965-1967)?

I have no idea where I got it from then. In any case you should look up his other thing, the Voice of Seven Thunders. It's got more of a rock feel to it.

Hey man, did you show me this guy? (http://www.last.fm/music/Voice+of+the+Seven+Woods) I found this lurking in my library and hadn't heard it before. It's really good though

Also my favorite of his early stuff. It's a very authenitc sound too in my opinion. One take, it's like hearing him play live in whatever folk venue you would have found him in in 60-61. Plus the man was exactly our age when all of that was recorded.

I had completely forgotten about those guys. Baby I'm the alpha man! dun-dun duuun

It's nice to be back. I forgot how useful this site is.

That's how I roll

Yeah that's where I got it. Unless we are talking two completely different swinging sixties sites.

You might like these guys, I think they're great: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S%C5%8Dtaisei_Riron . Get the album Synchroniciteen.

http://www.last.fm/user/samuraikid115 finds them for me, and I download/scrobble them in their native tongue. If I listen to some artists enough, I can tell apart the songs by album positioning / song length / title length. It's a hard knock life.

excuse me sir, are you trying to hit on me?

I don't think I've heard any lo-fi from them, but it makes sense that it wouldn't be as good as all those old blues men.

thx, good stuff here as well

That label does run pretty deep. But none of it seems to be less than great.

not so bad yourself, by the way! action hank for the win

thanks, isn't it though? as soon as I'd read they'd made him a saint, I just had to do it

got yourself some kimbrough, eh?

dancing girls

Great taste!!!

dream letter was my first record of his and my favorite before i found the later ones, it's still one of the best (and the best live album too, just killin it for two hours straight.) you can't get The Earth Is Broken, I've Been Out Walking, Who Do You Love or this version of Carnival Song anywhere else, among other things...im really happy to see you've been into it.
