I've been listening to Green again lately, and think I like it more than I did on release. The songwriting is just really strong, and catchier than they were on the Blue Record. Blue Record actually didn't sit well with me, because it was that awkward transition from sorta-metal to definitely not. Now that they're 'definitely not', it feels more comfortable to me. Not that it's in the same rank, but Yellow & Green sort-of remind me of Physical Graffiti because of the diversity of sounds. That pretty much sums it up, right?

Hello Madame Dawn! How are you these days? Hope you're doing good. Just listened to some new music, the new Murder By Death record is ridiculously good (I came around is the great Anthem of the year).

Hello Misty! It's been a long time since we last spoke. I hope you're good, I too did fall off the face of the earth. There are a few reasons for me vanishing completely, but I won't speak about them here. I miss our chats, your musical expertise, and your all around awesomness. :) Lastly, I will recommend the record ,,Salvation is a deep dark well" by the band The Builders and the Butchers to you, if you're in the mood for some Folk music. I hope you're well and that we will talk soon. :)

Hey Misty! If you're around the Last.fm spheres it would be awesome if you had a look at my Best of 2010 (http://www.lastfm.de/user/stewieisgod/journal/2011/01/07/459ae8_2010-the_best) and leave your thoughts/opinion. Hope all is well with you and life is treating you good! Cheers!

I totally agree with your assessment. Nothing stands out! Well, nothing good. There are some awkward vocal phrasings or annoying lyrics that stick out, in a bad way. But not a single riiff sticks in my brain, even after a half dozen listens. And where the HELL are the dual drums? Just an overall disappointment after the outstanding last album. Also, THANKS!!

Awww, yes, she's so lovely in that version. For me, the Olympia version and this version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iydsuzCk4K0&feature=related might share the first spot of best Haiti live version. The second one from 2005 holds a special place in my heart because it was the first time I listened to Haiti and fell in love with Régine and Arcade Fire. :)

I'm well thank you. Have you checked out [artist]Rodrigo y Gabriela[/artist]? I think you would enjoy them. Talking of Kylesa, I saw an mp3 of 'Tired Climb' available for free download on their label's website - http://www.season-of-mist.com/download/mp3 (just in case you fancy checking out a new song before the album is released)
