Thanks, you've got a great taste too! The only thing is, I saw your "about me" story, and I noticed that you dislike Queen. I completely agree with the fact that Fat Bottomed Girls is an awful song, and We Will Rock You is far too commercial... But just listen to the less commercial songs like Innuendo, The Show Must Go On and some of the older songs from the time when they weren't discovered yet. That's a completely different kind of music, I mean come on, you can't dislike the Show Must Go On can you? Peace!

Yeah, I found "Monorail" on the old YouTube yesterday, sounded great. Can't afford their album at this stage, and I refuse to download for free, but it's definitely on my wishlist. Cheers mate.

yeah, i know what you mean, I can't stand listening to most of hip-hop/r'n'b music either. I don't like the fact that the top 40 features a lot of it and most talented artists don't get too much attention by the media. sometimes i think i should have been born much earlier than late 80s. btw. I listen to lots of various kinds of music, I always find something I enjoy listening but from time to time it's great to come back to 60s or 70s. I couldn't live without it.

Hey Mark, I have to agree with you to some extend. The charts are not the same they used to be, a lot of strange music is on the charts these days, especially on high positions but I still like seeing some great stuff there on the top 100 singles chart. btw. that's a pity the Beatles catalogue hasn't been released digitally yet :( It'd be nice to see their music up there.

Hey! Do you notice greater improvement on any particular track or album? I was a little disappointed by Sgt Peppers, surprised by how great the White Album sounded, and also thought there was noticeable improvement on Hard Days Night, but then this variation may well be in my head!

If you want your top albums on your page, go to this link : http://covers.nmstudio.pl/ You can choose up to 50 albums and choose the size of the covers. It's so cool ! Once the program gives the results, you only have to copy all and paste it on your "about me" section (see in your personal parameters). It's very easy, even for computer non-specialist ! :)

Yes I know The Duckworth Lewis Method. I've purchased the album this week. I don't care about cricket, I just want some good songs and the record is full all good songs ! :) About the Pugwash compilation : yes I knew it, I've even added the album on their RYM page http://rateyourmusic.com/release/comp/pugwash/giddy__a_ride_inside_the_wonderful_world_of_pugwash/ Do you know the release date of it ? A good recommandation for you who like Pugwash (and certainly pop a la XTC) : The Nines. It's a canadian pop band. I'm sure you gonna like it ! :)

well you seem to be arguing my side for me!! thank you!! i forgot about that one too. guess at the end of the day, i didn't really have time for the campness, arrogance, lifestyle, secrecy, sell out, costumes, brians big hair, silly dress wearing videos, extravagance, and the wasted oppurtunity at the end to do something positive with regards to the awful illness he contracted. ok it's personal but he was a huge position to get it all out there and say, look folks be careful! he chose to deny right up till the end. seems a shame.

Anyone who says Queen is better than the Beatles or ELO is loco. Seriously! I don't care that much for Bohemian Rhapsody either. But I stiiiiill believe that Don't Stop Me Now and Fat Bottomed Girls are great songs. Also, we will rock you and we are the champions are great. Your problem with them seems to be that they are popular. If they were not as popular or compared to the Beatles, would you like them then?

Saw your comments on Sgt. Peppers. I honestly believe that the best all-around Beatles album is Help! I'd put Hard Days night right under that, followed by Revolver, and then maybe Sgt. Pepper's. I say help is the best because the songs are I think among the strongest in their catalogue.

That's incredible! I had to check my calendar to make sure you weren't pulling my leg, but April 1st is long gone. As you can imagine, a Jeff Lynne solo album will be a day one purchase for me. I'm curious if it will be more 70's ELO, 80's ELO, Armchair Theatre, or Zoom like. Or he could really change it up and make a third Wilburys album of sorts. I could really use some more 70's ELO, but I'll take anything from him. I wonder if Ringo Starr, Tom Petty, or anyone else in Jeff's past will make appearances. This should be a very interesting album. If you hear any more insights, feel free to give me a shout. I'd very much appreciate any news on this front.

It's amazing the journey some CDs take to get to the consumer. In the case of my Idle Race "Back to the Story" double CD, it was made in Holland, distributed in the UK, and imported to the US by Amazon for it to then travel from their warehouse in Kentucky to my door. I agree that End of the Road is very good. I like the lyrics and vocals, but there's something I really like about the musical backing. I do vaguely remember back when 1 came out over here. It was a huge deal, and I agree, I seem to recall it selling very well. I've already bought some of the songs left off Secret Messages via iTunes from the Flashback collection I think. Even with those already in my collection, I agree that the real Secret Messages is long overdue, Beatles Forever and all. Hello My Old Friend deserves far more attention than it's had up to now. Incredible song. I'm looking forward to Pugwash's rerelease of an improved Eleven Modern Antiquities internationally. Hope it does well as they deserve it.

I agree. If the remastering people did their job properly, which I'm sure they did given the magnitude of this release, these classic Beatles albums should be a real treat to listen to. I expect they'll still be the same songs we know and love but with their intricacies and full beauty brought out for one to hear like never before. It is strange that they didn't announce the songs for digital (iTunes) release as well, given how these songs should be perfect for it now that they're digitally remastered. I suspect they're holding off to encourage people to buy the full discs or sets of discs, followed not long after with the iTunes release.
