Aw man, sorry. It's kind of a project. There's a decent chance I'll post it when it's finished, one way or another...

Dang, now I have that song stuck in my head. Why don't more songs feature a good defenestration?

I went from admiring a kitty dingbat to listening to a song that uses the word "defenstrates" in its opening lines. The www is a weird and wonderful place.

I've been into a lot of dubstep and glitch-hop lately, like sugarpill (http://snd.sc/ec4JFw) and Freddy Todd (http://snd.sc/gaTQey) who are both amazing. New JV album is great too, though I'm guessing you already heard that (note he retweeted my tweet about it!! I am internet famous!!!). Also Parenthetical Girls, a band I saw open for Deerhoof - http://youtu.be/h19KnjDqS5M is an older one of theirs, unfortunately I can't find any links for the awesomest tracks from their new EP series, Privilege, which so far is damn good. Speaking of Deerhoof, do you have their new album? I haven't gotten the whole thing yet but I've heard a couple tracks from it and thought they were great. What about you, do you have any interesting new finds?

somehow our music compatibility is now *super*! Maybe because I listened to a couple of GBV songs?

Tom 7 is what some people call me (person) and it's the name of my main solo singing and guitar (and other instruments) project. Tom 7 Entertainment System is a more-or-less in-character solo chiptune project which is usually just instrumental video game music. Also a performance project, viz: http://radar.spacebar.org/f/a/weblog/comment/1/1016

Hey. I saw that we agree on the important issues in life (Bob Pollard and Richard D James), so I decided to check out your tunes. Really liked what I heard. I've been toying with the idea of breaking into the 8-bit scene myself. What kind of program do you use?

Hello there, Mr. Pheasant! I was feeling proud of my 20k song count until I saw yours. But there seems to be something funny with your scrobbles. Is it a sick ridiculous ploy to beef up your stats through redundant redundancy?

PS--never seen the pixies live. i have seen frank black on two occassions and was very pleased. i saw him on the street outside the club and dopily walked up and said 'hi frank black!' he ignored me. later a friend of mine told me he only responds to charles when people talk to him. oh well. he's still a rock hero of mine!

yes, bluefinger's quite good. it sounds sort of like doolittle or the other more poppy post-doolittle era pixies albums with the guitar sound of the earlier albums. frank's wife does a good kim deal impression. the albums energy feels sort of like frank black's teenager of the year i think. thematically, the album's about dutch rock star herman brood, who killed himself in 2001. quite a muse!

Dude, listen to Paragraph President. In my opinion it is the best song on the CD.

...but knife play is close behind. that's their most inconsistent album in my opinion but has several of my favorite songs. ever. so I suppose fabulous muscles is your best bet. but I strongly suggest getting their other albums, especially a promise. keep in mind it's not really meant to be an easy band to like... I'd like to know what you think though

well, for me it's a toss-up between fabulous muscles and a promise, with the latter barely edging out. (almost) every track is impeccable. after that they started to dabble in greater accessibility... la foret is probably their most accessible, if only for the lack of noise and the subdued tone. I personally think the air force is actually their 3rd best album...
