Ka is one of my fave emcees, check his whole discography if you can. It's always quality over quantity with him. If you like beats check out The Stuyvesants - Brooklyn's Finest. makes me wanna be out on a stoop in Brooklyn on a hot summer day.

Have you heard Let the Sun Talk, Retropolitan, There Existed an Addiction to Blood, Theravada - Xennis Rodman, Tree - We Grown Now, Defcee & Knowsthetime - Lacuna, Yikes the Zero - An Echo Storm Howling, Apollo Brown - Sincerely Detroit, Fly Anakin & Big Kahuna OG - Holly Water, Deca x Neon Brown - The Donner Party, Blu & Damu - Ground & Water, and any of the projects Rome Streetz or Eto dropped? Those were all near the top for me as well. Also if you never checked the album milo/r.a.p. ferreira put out last year, i recommend it. Was released on tape only but it's worth seeking out a download online, or i could just sent it to you if you want. He's got a new one coming out soon too, produced by the jefferson park boys. Sorry for the block of text, wish there was an easier way to format this. I could just post the RYM list if it would be less of an eyesore lol.

hey, that's a dope list! even if you felt like you were slacking you still managed to check a lot of the notable releases. the only one you named that wasn't on my top 50 list was the fahim project, i'm just not really a fan of the dudes music in general. top 10 though, i had billy woods & Kenny Segal - Hiding Places, Quelle Chris - Guns, Slauson Malone - A Quiet Farwell, billy woods - Terror Management, Little Brother - May the Lord Watch, Freddie Gibbs & Madlib - Bandana, Aes & Tobacco - Malibu Ken, Yugen Blakrok - Anima Mysterium, Your Old Droog - It Wasn't Even Close, and L'Orange & Jeremiah Jae Complicate Your Life With Violence.

i also see you've been bumping the new droog, such a good album! the artwork, crazy list of features but just the right amount, the production lineup, the artwork, the way he went about releasing it.. everything is on point. he really gave the fans what they wanted. plus he got roc on an ohbliv beat lol. you hear that new slauson malone album yet? https://slausonmalone.bandcamp.com/album/a-quiet-farwell-2016-2018. another major highlight of 2019 for me so far. it's definitely more abstract/experimental than the stuff standing on the corner has done, but i think it's about on the same level as red burns. his ear for samples is really impressive to me, somehow the album feels like it's from multiple periods of time at once but in the best possible way. still haven't fully wrapped my head around it, but i love it.

this year has been fruitful already tho as far as new releases go, a good amount of top shelf releases already. i think hiding places will be hard to top though, that's one of those albums that just keeps getting better and better the more i listen to it. the pictures that woods paints, the visuals he gives you, the subtleties in his writing combined & the humor me manages to inject even when the subject matter is completely serious. he's on a whole other level on this album, and kenny segal really nailed that atmosphere with his soundscapes. glad you liked the AM breakups album too, seems like that album has slipped by a lot of folks. then again it seems like a lot of elucid/armand hammer fans are still sleeping on the cult favorite album from 2013 and that's one of my favorite releases of the last 10 years, but what do i know lol.

lol come on now, i'm sure there's stuff you could put me on to as well. i do try to stay up to date but no matter how much i dig there's always a handful of really dope releases that slip under the radar which i'll find out about later. that's part of the fun though i think. bandcamp has truly been a blessing for finding new music though, just checking my feed to see what the people i follow purchase & going through the top hip hop releases has helped me discover a bunch of new music. i love those email notifications whenever an artist i follow releases a new project too.

have you checked out that new AM breakups album yet? not the instrumental album from last year, he dropped a brand new producer comp and it's dope. features verses from woods, elucid, vordul mega, MC eleven, shortrock, k-the-i???, skech185 of tomorrow kings, lodeck, masai bey, junclassic, TMFSE, teddy faley, distantstarr, L.I.F.E. long, and others. https://ambreakups.bandcamp.com/album/soldier

peace peace peace peace peace.. what's up vanessa? hey - 99% compabability.. where's that last percent at? glad to see you've been enjoying hiding places, kenny segal and billy woods really created something special here, easily my favorite album so far this year with guns not too far behind it. apparently kenny created a lot of the beats specifically for woods too and it definitely shows. the way some of the beats evolve & transition is crazy to me, like on crawlspace when billy starts his verse and that second beat slowly fades in.. unreal. i think this might be his best since dour candy.

Whadddup tho!!! Anything ewonee, borealism - Ripples in the Stream & Loose Ends, Abstrakt idea - Sincere Sunset, TMCT - Land Cruiser, Hannibal King - Flowers for Pamela, Raw Stiles - Hello Lovely. For some reason older stuff came to mind so I'm sure you've heard of sum. Some more lo-fi type: Jinsang - Solitude, FRVR - Winter's Circle, ahwlee - 1991, Mounika - Basket Sound. Anything wun two, bsd.u, ohbliv, FloFilz, Klaus Layer, Nymano. Kind of random stuff, not sure what your non-scrobbling self is listening to these days lol

Haha, no problem! Yes, like this album -- musics with a soft beats, good to relax. I ask for a recommendation because I know little of this kind of sound. (I think that you listen stuff like that). I know "tycho" and "college" but "onra" it seens diferent and is good too. Sorry, I'm from Brazil, my english is a crap! ahah. My plan this year is to study more this language! ;D
