HiYa Matt~The Mind Club was a local Sacramento band, that had a fairly large local following before they disbanded a few years back, and may well be the least played group ever on last.fm. They were masters of the acid jazz genre and well worth a listen if You are so moved. Please let me know what You think. Thanks https://www.last.fm/music/The+Mind+Club

thanks for linking me to the alternate recording of Ain't Too Proud To Beg, it's interesting to hear a "new" version of such a familiar song!

Yes! I've been on a huge Beach Boys binge since I saw Brian Wilson live last summer. Pet Sounds has quickly become one of my favourite (and most listened) albums ever. It's a perfect album. I've listened to some 20 Beach Boys albums already! I've been checking out your ratings of them on RYM regularly, as you can see your friends ratings when checking out an album page, and rating them myself (check out my profile! I'm actually thinking about making a Beach Boys from best to worst ranking list!) I find it funny how the band has some of the best albums ever and some of the worst albums ever in their discography. I've also listened to Brian Wilson's solo albums, and I actually prefer his 2004 version of Smile to the Smile Sessions. Which do you prefer?

Oh. I just caught that Shoutbox post on my page from you. My bad. I'm not sure if you called or texted and I missed. Take your time, man. Just wanted to make sure you're still alive, brother.

Can't wait for the deluxe edition. Visconti says there's a track that sounds straight out of Hunky Dory!

How do you feel about Bowie passing? Have you listened to Blackstar yet? Definitely one of his best albums.

Future Islands came on my shuffle just a few days ago after not listening to them for about six months, and I must say that I've gotten quite bored with "Singles" at least. It's a fantastic album, but I listened to it so much a while back. I wish I had seen them live when they were in my city when I was absolutely crazy about them... I'm fine otherwise, but how are you?

Hall and Oates have a mix of rock, and soul. There mega hit " I Can't For That" (No Can Do)..was a #1 hit on the pop, r&b and dance charts in 1981. Check them out!

"[album artist=future islands]Singles[/album]" is one of the freshest albums I've heard in ages (it's not a Singles compilation like the title makes it seem, haha). Samuel Herring uses that death metal growling in other songs just as majestically. I've never been a fan of that particular singing style, but it fits like a glove in this stuff. I'd love to see them live, but their gig here in Finland is age restricted unfortunately. I'm sure I'll see them sometime. The original video for that Letterman gig was taken down when it had over 15 million views, but Samuel always performs this way. Seriously, I've never seen anybody perform so powerfully, you can actually hear him punching himself on the chest through his mic here... He doesn't give a fuck about what anybody thinks, absolutely amazing dancing, too.

Hey dude, check this out. That has to be one of the best performances I've ever seen. Fell in love with this band, their newest album is perfect!

Oh man, Twin Peaks is amazing. It has become one of my favourite shows, I haven't quite finished watching it though. I love all of the characters and their idiosyncrasy. Damn good coffee! I learned many of Kyle MacLachlan's lines by heart. Absolutely hilarious stuff.

I'm fine, just chilling on my holidays. I take it you've watched every season of 24 then? Which seasons are the best and worst? Sometimes the show could drag a lot, since it happens in real time with 24 episodes. Especially the character development seems to have problems because of the format. Bob Odenkirk is just so charismatic and hilarious he makes the character of Saul work perfectly. He's a comedian, after all.

I watched 24 all the way until season 7, I might continue sometime later. Seasons 5 and 6 were my favourites but my favourite character is Tony! I love Better Call Saul, very artistic stuff. It's perfect for me cause Breaking Bad is my favourite show and Saul and Mike were my favorite characters. It didn't quite kick off with a huge band yet, but neither did Breaking Bad, so I'll expect more awesomeness in the later seasons. Can't believe I haven't talked to you in a year!

One show I thought you would like is the Swedish-Danish crime series called "The Bridge" or "Bron/Broen". Don't get prejudice over the language, It is quite possibly the best crime TV show I've seen, even better than 24 in my opinion. The writing is superb and the plot twists huge. If you check the IMDB page you can see a thread that I started in which Americans have given the show an avergae score of 3.5, lol :) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1733785/?ref_=nv_sr_2 (BTW all of my ratings for different movies and TV shows are on my IMDB profile, you can find the link in my last.fm profile) The first season is in youtube along with English subtitles and HD quality: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWSXHU1ir5Q I recommend it.

Oh man, I had no idea Saul was delayed. I've watched all seasons of Deadwood, it's really good. Season 3 was kinda boring if I remember correctly, the first two seasons were much better. Ian McShane steals the show in Deadwood! (he plays Al Swearengen)

Funny how you said watch 5 or 6 episodes of 24, and then decide is it good. The sixth episode was the first one with awesome plot twists and action. I'm definitely going to keep watching, I'm on episode 10 at the moment. Thanks for the recommendation!

I just watched the pilot episode of 24 yesterday. It wasn't very interesting, but I'll keep on watching to see if it gets better. Is it good?

I haven't watched it yet, but it has gotten superb reviews, and Martin Freeman is in it too (he's one of my favorite actors) so I'll probably watch it when the first season has come out completely.

Yeah, I listened it to a bit and 'Three time loser' definitely stands out, the other songs weren't bad, just some basic rock n' roll stuff.

I don't think you can find 'Three time loser' in youtube? Only place I've seen it was in spotify. I've heard 'Say No More' is their worst album though. I'll listen to those songs you recommended, thanks for the reply!
