I can only imagine how amazingly incredible that would be to see it with other fans. He was and still is so special to so many of us on so many levels. I'm a little far from a city at the moment, but will be moving soon to the Oregon coast just outside of Portland this spring, his home town. Hopefully it will be showing somewhere around there on the big screen still. Not something I want to miss. Thanks for the heads up, it is much appreciated!

You know what's strange, I read a review for the show earlier today and they said The Warlocks performed 18 songs. That doesn't seem true though, also this review listed the setlist and they had down "Song for Nico" and "So Paranoid", I don't remember them playing those songs and I really wanted them to play "So Paranoid" and was sorta bummed out when they didn't so I know for a fact that song wasn't played. Hopefully it's just a mistake on their part, otherwise they did come back out and do an encore and we missed it, haha.

Ha, tell me about it. Did you stay after? I wonder if they did an encore or something. I left after the last song, most people did it seems.

I went to that Haiti benefit show they did at the Henry Fonda theatre. After the show I just kind of hung around trying to stay out of the way and then all of the sudden they were doing the afterparty and the whole band was there. One of the coolest experiences of my life.

Jeez. He seems to be here on a pretty permanent basis these days. I actually met him myself a few years ago, but randomly running into the guy at Griffith Observatory is pretty hard to beat. PS: facebook?

I really like their first 8 or so albums. Each one is completely different and very strange. Most people seem to start with Duck Stab or the Commercial Album which are both great. I'd also recommend Not Available and The Third Reich and Roll which may be the most bizarre cover album ever.
