Sexy, funny and profound. I think it's the best way to describe this album. Slowdive, She's a Carnival and Cascade. I love the circus energy it transmits, audacious. This album is always unique, there is no way to get sick in listening to it. A treasure, definitely.

Great album. I think it's better than Juju. "Green Fingers" and "Melt!" are the standouts to me.

One of the best Siouxsie and The Banshees albums... for sure ♥ But ...this is my 4th time scrobbling this album... and last fm still says that i haven’t listened to it yet ... There's nothing wrong with the information in the tracks... i don't know what's going on... T_T

Quite an album. Remember hating it upon first listen when I was 14! (I soon came around.)

What a cornucopia of textures and styles! "Inventive" barely begins to describe Dreamhouse. But what's astonishing is that, despite its eclectic nature, it still flows; you can listen to it beginning to end and not feel jolted by the shifts in tone, tempo, and mood. And who else but Siouxsie could make songs about gardening and butterflies metamorphosizing so intoxicating? Cocoon is positively sexy, and Green Fingers, psychedelic! For me, Cascade is the very best song on the album, and indeed, one of the Banshees' all-time bests. Even a song that I would expect to find monotonous and annoying, Circle, is so clever and done so well that I genuinely like it. Talk about a metamorphosis--- from punk screamers to this level of creativity and sophistication! Pretty damned amazing.

This is one of the great albums of the 1980's; a fitting epitaph to the great guitarist John McGeogh. As I recall all a girl needed to earn my devotion in that decade was to posses this album and a copy of Angela Carter's 'Bloody Chamber'.
