This is like having a false awakening in a dream and finding yourself in an otherworld that is a really disturbing and twisted reflection of the real world. It would probably have very little effect on me without having become familiar with the original before ever hearing this version.

the outro sounds so blissful it's an amazing juxtaposition with the rest of the song

This feels like a mystic fairy tale with a worrying evil lurking just around the corner.

Decent, but way less interesting than the Kid A version. The 5/4 metre of the original and Phil Selway's drumming were a large part of what helped make that one so special, and neither of those elements are present here. The live version on IMBW might be even better, though.

The gain on the guitars during the "round and round and round and round..." bit makes all the live versions such a fantastic release of tension.

(The Prague version is my favorite for sentimental reasons, since I got into Radiohead the summer that the live DVD was released by Radiohead and the fans)

Why does this make the original sound like a remix? Possibly the Kid A version's almost dub-like sound maybe. This one flows very effortlessly.

OH HOW I HATE THE SOUND OF JONNY'S FINGERS SLIDING THROUGH THE GUITAR STRINGS IN THIS SONG
