The mispelling of Cthulhu as "Klutu" on this and the original track is deliberate, since in some Lovecraft stories it is written, that the ordinary mortals aren't allowed to spell out his name nor to write it down because his name would call him. Lovecraft also uses the alternative "Ktulu" spelling himself. Either way, it's a great great track. only improved by orchestral backing.

"The call of Ktulu" on Ride the Lightning, but on this album, S & M, it's "The call of the Ktulu". [5]

the disk is printed clearly: "The call of the Ktulu" so I do not see the point of the discussion

It's good that the "the" is there, it makes it easier to tell the difference between this version and the Ride the Lightning one. This one is FAR superior, I'm not a fan of instrumentals with just guitar and drums. The Orchestra makes up for any lost sound from the vocalist.
