Same. It's recently really winning me over. Unironically BRUTAL. As I get older it's harder and harder to me to react or connect to music "emotionally" but gosh dang I so feel it in my bones

I don't know why I never got into this album earlier, I listened to Bathory albums like 6 years ago back then I only liked the album ''The Return'', but a few weeks ago my friend told me ''Blood Fire Death'' is the most insane and the best album from Bathory, and I listened to it like every day sometimes 3 times per day, it's a fucking masterpiece, never get tired of listening to this album.

Always heart-warming to see someone fall for Bathory. Keep on rocking and enjoying an incredible artist. :)

Some things just take longer than others. It also took me a long time to get into bands like Possessed and Mercyful Fate. Since you're really getting into Bathory and already like Immortal, you should listen to I (https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/I/77619) which was formed after Immortal split up back in the day. Their album has a very moving tribute to Quorthon entitled 'Far Beyond the Quiet'.

Oh I never knew about this man. I love Immortal and it says Abbath is on vocals. (I also liked the last immortal album without Abbath, and I checked one of his solo albums) But never knew about this band ''I''. I will check it out. Oh and speaking of Bathory influence on Immortal - check this out, I made a short 1 minute video showing how Blood Fire Death influenced both Dissection and Immortal (Beyond the North Waves) You will hear the similarities. - https://youtu.be/kQDIHJspUkc

yea, for me King Diamond, it took me long to get into his albums, Mercyful Fate (the first EP, Melissa, and don't break the oath - I liked these more than his later solo stuff..)

Bruh if you think the production and vocals are harsh in this, listen to their first three then come back

I'm a sucker for his snarl on the debut but he sounds so commanding on this that I can't disagree.

The drums on "for all those who died" could actually summon a viking horde .....

black metal, idk why would people say it's thrash metal. I think like maybe their first album was Thrash, then The Return up to this album were all black metal.
