Hey! Welcome back. ;-) I've been pretty busy myself with my job. And now I am busy with some housework - there is a redecoration of the bathroom going on and we are doing everything by ourselves. To be honest I find most of the new music boring, especially the new synthpop and futurepop. There is no difference between disco and that genre, in my opinion. There is too much of that on the internet, and too little good darkwave. Maybe because it's much easier to create a disco song with some cheesy lyrics than a good darkwave track that is meaningful. I don't know. I'm tired of this plastic-fantastic-futurebanana sound, really. ;-)

Oh, what a cheater I am! ;-) I just wanted to check if I can survive without meat, and it seems I could. I love the British sense of humor, especially lines like in Monty Python Flying Circus. I think this is an intelligent sense of humor. Cemeteries on Nov. 1st look really nice, with those lights, flowers, wreaths and such, but the atmosphere is rather solemn and serious. By the way, do you know any rich aviation painting collectors? I could call myself a semi-vegetarian now. I've been listening to whatever new that catches my attention recently. Some bands and albums are good, some are okay. Life in Poland is fine, the weather is a bit cold and rainy, well, it's autumn, nothing new here. No wonder you work with some Poles, so many compatriots have left the country since 2000 or so. I was thinking of leaving, too, but I found a reason to stay, back then. ;-) My niece came back from London last spring, she had lived there 5 years. Any plans for Halloween? As you may know, we don't have Halloween fun here, except for some clubs maybe. November 1st is a solemn and serious holiday for most Poles, when we visit graves of our families and friends, leave flowers and lights there.

Sorry, I've been off the grid lately, busy turning myself into a vegetarian. ;-) I haven't found anything interesting in the darkwave/goth genre, maybe some old EBM or industrial. I can't stand synthpop anymore, it seems so poppish and sugary, but I discovered it's good for workout. Ho'w life in GB?

I've been checking some new music, but mostly dark electronic music. It seems this music is not that much interesting to me anymore. The new bands sound the same, sing about the same and I think it's time I moved on to something else or some music I used to listen to 15 or 20 years ago.

Good for you! I listen to all shades of electronic music. In the fall I was listening to my 'old stuff' so to speak - Dead Can Dance. I have all their albums on my shelf and this music brought a lot of memories. I'm looking forward to the new The Eden House and Fields of the Nephilim, although I am not a big fan of gothic rock anymore, still I want to listen. As we say in Poland "Old love doesn't get rust".

Sorry I thought I had replied! I really don't remember how many times I've seen them since it has been so many times! I think my favourite time was during the New Year's show in 2004/2005 in LA. It has been kind of down hill since but I still go. :]

When I was a student I went sometimes to the church just to listen to some organ concerts they gave at noon. Great experience! There are some shows in Poland but none of them are gonna be held in my city, Poznan. There was VNV Nation last week in Warsaw, for example. And the noise festival Antyscena in Gdansk. There are lots of small bands playing here and there too and you can go to a Dark Independent music party that is organized from time to time and hang out with friends who listen to the same stuff. What does it look like where you live?

It depends what you want the world to know. ;-) I think we can use both.

Oh wow! They must be great, those headphones! One of my acquaintances has become an audiophile. He used to listen to metal but "had" to switch to different music because metal "is not well recorded or produced" as for this equipment. I must think of some good headphones for myself. Yeah, I agree, there is too much music and I always have a problem with choosing what to listen to or what to buy first. Depends on my mood. My favorite instrument? Hm... I love the sound of the bagpipes or the church organs. I think it's the keyboards for most part. I rarely listen to classical music, when I do, it will be Holst or Grieg. I also love the album by Laibach "LaibachKunstderfuge".

Practically all albums of Roman Rain are excellent. But their last album "Atmosphere" (the title of the album is in Russian) I absolutely didn't like :)

I love listening using headphones. I sometimes listen at night but usually in the evening lying on the sofa and using my mp3player. I've listened to Na-Hag once so far and I like it. I'm glad you like it, too. I don't know if I wanna add the bands from my past. There were so many of them. Once in a while I come across the band from my past and I will scrobble it but not the whole discography. :-) I think I'll focus on the present and the future.

Oh, it's similar to me: I listened to metal a lot beginning from 1990 and then around 1994 I discovered the existence of Goth and Darkwave genres. In Poland there was hardly any scene at that time. Even buying a CD of Goth or Darkwave was a problem. And then 2003 maybe, I discovered different bands, like FLA, for instance, and other genres I told you about. At first I was sceptical, as always, but then I liked that scene more and more!

Tympanic and ant-zen. Yeah, I can say this kind of music is slowly growing on me. I also look for some gentle electronic sounds - you just can't feast upon dark electro with strong beat all the time. I like the music of Geomatic. I think I will like it more and more. That's a good recommendation, so thanks again! Last night I was recommended Na-Hag, also tribal industrial sounds.

Okay, I have at least one album from 13 bands from your top 30 artists. Not many, but still some. ;-)

I like trying new bands but I will rather listen to the genres that I am interested in and listen to, rarely will I listen to something else, like jazz, chill out, rock, or something like that. I pick up various tracks from people, or somebody recommends me a band and I give it a try. I've been having fun recently just checking out the latest loved ones from my Friends here and putting those tracks that caught my attention on a list. I've just begun with Tribal Industrial, thanks to two friends - DJs, who actually give their live acts related to this kind. So I don't have much to say about TI for the time being ;-)

Okay - harsher like more Harsh Electro bands, present day EBM - e.g. Autodafeh, Spetznaz, E-Craft, Dupont, [de:ad:cibel] to name a few bands that could suit the genre, Old School EBM - Front 242, Agrezzior, a new band from my country Human Steel, maybe Prager Handgriff too. I also like Vomito Negro or Necrotek that I call simply 'very dark', haha, or I've recently been listening to This Morn' Omina and similar bands (Tribal Industrial they call it). In the '90s I was a metalhead and listened to many kinds of metal music. :-) You are welcome to recommend me some music. And I can see you are a musician yourself!

I think my Library is a bit harsher and more into present day and/or Old School EBM than what you have in here. But I'm looking for more gentle sounds, too, so I will have to look into yours soon!

I can recommend you, first of all, ASP, The Last Dance, Scream Silence (gothic rock, very interesting band), The Crüxshadows, Hocico (must be listened :))) ), Decoded Feedback, Covenant, Aesthetic Perfection.... Practically all of these bands are darkwave or dark electro. If you are interested in gothic rock, deathrock or smth like that, I'll recommend you bands in these styles ))))

Well the way I see it is you can always hang out with your friends! But how many times do you think these specific three bands will tour together in the US! Besides, every show is different. I definitely think it is something not to be missed! This is coming from someone that doesn't like to flake on others but in this case, De/Vision, Mesh, and Iris win! I do plan on going with my best friend! If I had to go alone, I still wouldn't miss this. :]

We do have super tastes! Why wouldn't you be able to make it? I am flying from Seattle, Washington to see Legends of Synthpop! Mesh won't be in Seattle unfortunately. I have seen De/Vision and Iris once before. And yes, can't believe this show is happening. It is my dream show and never thought it would be real!

Ehh, the job hunting is going like how it was before. But some new stores are going to be opening up in my town, so maybe I'll get lucky there! Yeah there's some decent food here. What was your favorite food to eat in the US? :) Oh so you make music?
