Hanging in there man, weird that I signed on for the first time in forever and saw your shout. What have you been listening to lately?

Two-month delayed, but I like the new Strokes single, but I'm not a big fan of the album overall. You know we were in trouble when the band members were apologizing for it before it was released...heard anything else good this year? Been a little disappointed personally, Radiohead and TV on the Radio are both just OK, same with Bright Eyes although I didn't expect much from that.

My favorite so far is the new National album, no surprise there. It took a while to grow, but I'm hooked now. I'm also really digging the new New Pornographers album. The new BSS and Hold Steady albums are both a little disappointing so far. Looking forward to The Black Keys and LCD Soundsystem coming out this week. What are your favorites so far?

Well...how are you liking the new stuff this year? May is a pretty crazy month for new stuff.

I like the new Spoon, not as good as their last 4, but it is another solid album. Surfer Blood is pretty good, I think I will like it more as the weather continues to turn, definitely feels like a summer album, the singles are fantastic but I'm not as into the rest of the album so far. Haven't heard the new BSS, but I'm hearing good things about it. Haven't heard the new Gorillaz(wasn't impressed by "Stylo"), never heard of Bombay Bicycle Club. I listened to the new MGMT when they had it streaming on their site and I wasn't impressed, so I haven't given it another chance. How about you? You like all of the albums you listed? Looking forward to new New Pornographers, Hold Steady, Black Keys, National and LCD Soundsystem? All of those are out in May (along with BSS), going to be a good month.

I don't think Arcade Fire has set a date yet, but a couple of months ago they were trying to get the album out in May. The Black Keys just announced a May album as well. How did you like the last Killers album? I never heard it even though the previous one was pretty good.

Jameriquoi is a name I haven't heard in a long time. I have been meaning to check out early Phoenix stuff. The bands releasing new stuff, off the top of my head, are: Arcade Fire, The National, Ted Leo, New Pornographers, Hold Steady, Broken Social Scene. I'm sure I'm forgetting some, there are too many to remember. Plus that Broken Bells project(James Mercer and Dangermouse) should be good.

Same here pretty much, I've heard a few new things this year, nothing has blown me away yet. Animal Collective and Phoenix were my big discoveries last year, still listening to them quite a bit. have you heard any pre-It's Never Been Like That Phoenix? I've only heard their latest two. There's a lot of great bands releasing albums this spring, it should be a good year.

Late Registration is nowhere near as consistent and good as College Dropout, but there are a small handful of absolutely amazing tracks. As an overall album, it's a good bit worse than College Dropout, but there are some great tracks, so I'd say overall it is definitely worth hearing.

Never heard of JEW's Clarity and I haven't listened to Maximo Park but I have heard of them. I'll check them out ;D

Bunnyranch is one of my favorites! It's so playful lol, I love it. His lyrics are definitely out there, but that's what I love about Adam Green.

Oh yeah variety is definitely key. That's why I love this site; one of my favorite features is the recommendations lol. Adam Green has some awesome music, I recently discovered him too. My favorite song is Carolina, if you havent already heard it you should! It's from the Gemstones album. And you do look cute in the picture haha, case closed :P

Yes you should write more journals! A Strokes one would be rad, maybe when their next CD comes out your love for them will be replenished lol. I'm still madly in love with them haha but I can't wait until the 4th album! Oh and I like your profile picture too, you look really rad :P

I finally got around to listening to The Doubble Donkey Disc, thanks for getting that to me. I like it, I really like that they put the Tetris theme on an album, good stuff. I think I still prefer R&RP3, but DDD is very enjoyable

I think it's safe to say that Feist in general is good. I really started digging her latest one late last year, a lot of fantastic songs on there. Plus her work with BSS is stellar.

I'm the same way, recently it's been taking me a while to really make decisions on new albums because the number of attentive listens I am able to give is very small. As for my new stuff, I'm liking the new Beck and Hold Steady albums. I also picked up my first Sigur Ros album which is pretty good as well. Not enough time to do too much exploring.

I don't know, I'm a pretty big fan of "The Greatest", it's still a great listen for me. The Raconteurs, Cold War Kids and Grandaddy, how do you like them?
