Me: hey ~ Girl: I have a boyfriend ~ Me: the thing about the term emo is that it's not the fashion trend of the early 2000's that it is associated with, instead emo represents a counterculture in the alternative music scene of the early 90s. Emo was a rejection of the "tough guy" attitude in rock, especially punk. The attitudes and themes present in the initial emotive hardcore scene transitioned into the grunge/indie rock scene in the late 90's, but it still had the same intentions- to make music relatable and heartfelt in a genre that denied and belittled such expressions. It was only until the early 2000s, with the explosion of post-hardcore acts like Hawthorne Heights and the burgeoning pop punk market, that the term "emo" became what it is now more commonly known as.

"come in alone" he told her as he had something to tell her sometimes she doubted his love and believed he was only shallow and just wanted sex but for some reason she felt like she was blown a wish because this was the first time he talk to her in 4 days. "what you want" she said to him as he poured a glass of strawberry wine and began playing a moon song. "i cant swallow that i had to drive!" she said but he replied "no stay, you made me realise how much life is worth living if i have u" she gave a sunny sundae smile and said "im awake but i feel like i'm still in a dream" she started being touched tenderly by him as she fed him with her kiss she said "how long do you want me to stay" "to here knows when" he said. LIEK AND REPOST IF U CRY EVERY TIEM

"Real Emo" only consists of the dc Emotional Hardcore scene and the late 90's Screamo scene. What is known by "Midwest Emo" is nothing but Alternative Rock with questionable real emo influence. When people try to argue that bands like My Chemical Romance are not real emo, while saying that Sunny Day Real Estate is, I can't help not to cringe because they are just as fake emo as My Chemical Romance (plus the pretentiousness). Real emo sounds ENERGETIC, POWERFUL and somewhat HATEFUL. Fake emo is weak, self pity and a failed attempt to direct energy and emotion into music. Some examples of REAL EMO are Pg 99, Rites of Spring, Cap n Jazz (the only real emo band from the midwest scene) and Loma Prieta. Some examples of FAKE EMO are American Football, My Chemical Romance and Mineral EMO BELONGS TO HARDCORE NOT TO INDIE, POP PUNK, ALT ROCK OR ANY OTHER MAINSTREAM GENRE
