Apologies, didn't intend to lecture and didn't know you were citizen and familiar with American society. As for Clinton, if she were so unshakable and Obama were so green, she wouldn't have lost the primary to a relative unknown (as of a year ago). McCain is going to struggle because he can't have his cake and eat it. To win, he must distance himself from Bush and brand himself a centrist to win the middle. But that's going to disaffect the Republican base who's already in much angst about "the Maverick" being the candidate. The electorate is swinging left of center and we may be in for a good run with some very strong candidates building in the wings.

Your response totally made me laugh out loud!! As a liberal and proud of it, I must apologize for the last 8 years. My country is filled with poorly educated, self-absorbed "patriots" who think America is the greatest country on God's green Earth. As for the election, I've been an Obama supporter from since Iowa (first primary) and firmly believe Clinton was too divisive. On top of that, this country is ready for a change. If Clinton were to win, it would mean that the US would have been run by a Bush or Clinton for 24+ years! Absurd! Obama can win, he's very bright and an extremely effective communicator, which is how Reagan won. He'll make McCain look his age in the debates and represents a major shift in Washington dynamics. And my sincere hope is that he can lead this country to a more respectful place in the world community because not all of us are rabid, fascisist capitalists.
