Welcome to 2014. For the new year, I'm suggesting music that my friends might find amusing. For you, it's TISM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hG4janHITY8

Hi Ed! How are you doing? I like the top albums of the week feature on your sidebar. Lots of different stuff on there. I'll be sure to check it out! The art world is pretty good. I was recently contacted by a publisher to have two of my pattern designs featured in their books. I'm also redesigning my website right now. Once that is finished, I need to make some new work! :)

My summer has been off to a good start so far. If I could just get a new job soon, it would be perfect. ;) How's everything been going for you? I'm not sure if you've ever listened to Alcest or not, but I can't recommend their new album Les Voyages De L'Âme enough. They're moving away from the black metal / shoegaze sound and gravitating toward playing shoegaze / post-rock exclusively. Only one or two songs have a couple areas of harsh vocals. Otherwise, it's all pure atmospheric beauty and probably my favorite shoegaze album other than the Cocteau Twins' Treasure.

I'm going! A friend of a friend's band is supposedly playing, which is how I came into the tickets. I honestly halfway expected to show up at this show and find, like, an all-salamander Psych Furs cover band playing because a legit gig down the street in goddamned Salem seemed too good to be true. A sizable minority fraction of me might actually still feel that way. ;)

Thanks for the friend. Since you've listened to Screaming Tribesmen and Lime Spiders, allow me to suggest you have a listen to Radio Birdman http://www.last.fm/music/Radio+Birdman the wellspring.

Hey Ed! Thank you! I still have a lot more art to post, but I have to wait for some sunny days to take photos. ;) Anyway, how are you doing? I also noticed that it's been pretty quiet around here. This is one of my favorite sites, so I really hope it doesn't die out!

Despite my concerningly-depressing "Recent Tracks" list, I'm actually doing alright, thanks. ;) How about you? How was your Turkey Genocide Day? Perhaps more importantly, how rad is goddess Polly Jean's Let England Shake? ;)

cool, [artist]Gustavo Cerati[/artist] is definitely worth looking into,I really like his solo stuff. Here's some info from my blog on him and other Latin american musicians. I'm no expert though It's a good starting point, there are 2 posts I'm linking to the 2nd one [url=http://scottishsiren.wordpress.com/2010/05/03/latin-american-music-its-not-what-you-think-part-2/]Blog Page[/url] tell me what you think!

He remains a handsome gentleman and a scholar, as always. If I had the option to bringing him to shows, that would present a mixed bag. Pro: Imagine all the free drinks I'd get for toting a parrot around pirate-style. Con: His exceptional dancing would give me an inferiority complex. XD

I haven't heard the Del Fuegos before, but I remember the reference in 'My Sister'. I was really, really into Boston in the 90s. I was just looking at [url=http://alifetimeofdefeats.blogspot.com/2009/06/my-top-20-favorite-punk-albums-of-all.html]this[/url]. I didn't know there was a Mexican Ramones.

Have you ever roller skated to 'Tom Sawyer'? The new Kills is your typical Kills stuff I think. Not as good as 'Midnight Boom', but it will get you there. It's been almost two years since I saw Alison with the Dead Weather. She was in very good form at the time, so I'm hoping for the best.

That's Jack! If he were announcing his own name though, he'd be just as likely to tell you that it's Jicky Jack or Cricket. :D

Hearing a lot of radio from other people, having a lot of various artists compilations in the library and never deleting artists from it - then the number is growing rapidly :-) I think there are a lot artists in it with only some counts of songs. But it's good for the own radio !

Lovely pics dear... oooh Lux! I've been listening to the music that you sent, I absolutely love [artist]The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion[/artist] omg, they are brilliant, where have they been all my life? [artist]Giant Drag[/artist] are funny, [artist]John Doe[/artist], is quite mellow, I liked some of his stuff - I'm yet to listen to the others, I've been too busy listening to [artist]PJ Harvey[/artist]'s new album, it's wonderful.... :D

No problem! Good luck finding the rest of your missing Last.fm friends! :) I don't know if you already saw my Facebook post, but you should check out this band, Voyager: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5n70L_bH-o They're a gothic metal/power metal band with a vocalist that sounds just like Dave Gahan.

Thanks for correcting me with the photo order, I had a gut feeling on the Damned picture that it was Patricia morrison from The sisters of mercy..a very tallented lady..the Damned have always been excellent musicians & stood for what they believe in..seen them many times in the 80's briiliant band live...i actually seen them do the full version of "curtaincall" from the black album, the sisters of mercy i had the great pleasure of seeing them in the early days..outstandingly brilliant live..Andrew Aldridge..set the standard at the time, but was always over-shined by the "in-bands" at the time..1986, i went to a mini festival the line-up was The 4-skins,The chameleons, The sisters of mercy, and echo & the bunnymen headlining..wonderful day:)..the 2 bands that shined that day where The chameleons & the sisters of mercy..it was a lovely sunny late afternoon, just before the sisters came on the clouds came over & started to rain! Andrew aldridge said "someone up there doesn't like us".B
