I love the mixture of ambient/downtempo music with raucous hardcore/doom/metal. It's an impressive list of music.

Good looking out on the new FfaF and TWDY....I need both in my life asap. Currently I am really really really digging the newest Dangers album "Messy Isn't It?" - the track Stay at Home Mom is filled with the most enraged, frothy-mouthed angst I have heard in quite awhile...Also I really dug the last Irepress album, and am INTENSELY anticipating the newest from BtB&Me "The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues"....

well hot damn, sounds like they FfaF are getting back to their roots, which is where they belong!! I'm really liking the "new" (old) sound--at least the guitars and bass. The vocals is what will tell the story...I am still bummed they changed so many songs from the original demos I have (like Juneau for instance) to the album versions. Dont get me wrong, I love gang vocals and harmonies, but I want some throaty screams in there too!! Thanks for the update friend! I wont write these guys off yet! Cheers buddy

Any idea what time everyone is getting the bus down at lad? I'm working at 9 the next day... so defo have to get the bus straight back to Belfast afterwards. Gonna be wrecked. I'm reckon I'd be up for getting the ATP soon. You got any mates up for it? Think there are only 4-beds one left now.

You can't buy a single ticket - you need to buy as a group. Just checked the ticket site and it seems the smallest available are 4-bed rooms: so you need to round up three mates, and then buy it all at once. It's because you can't camp at ATP - you get rooms at Butlins, with the specific number of beds. The 4-bed is £693, so you're talking £173.25 each. Dunno what my plan is yet. Can't really afford it atm. You definitely going?

yeah I was mainly commenting on the big increase in ambient stuff....I dont think I saw Bon Iver in your charts even a year ago or so. Just thought it interesting, thats all. I too am increasingly fond of bands like City and Color, Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes, etc...Maybe at 28 my hardcore/metal tendencies are weening??? Naw...Hell no! I have just been particularly taken with a bit more mellow, melodic tunes lately.. A good thing, methinks! Cheers

hey, really really cool stuff that you wrote under "abandon your friends". the most people think, fata was shit after perri's departue, but actually scott was really important for this band... did yoo already check scott gross' new project "lullaby the storm" ??? ok it isn't the genre like fata but it's worth to give 'em a shot.

well, for me, one record of the year will definetely be Sol Eye Sea I by Irepress. If you don't know it, you should give it a listen. It's full of things I've never heard before. Definetely creative.

You were in Subway?! I didn't even notice you! Probably too busy salivating over the prospect of my Italian BMT. Thought the gig was great - and for the S&A the sound was brilliant. Was actually pleased that they didn't play an encore. Perhaps it would've dragged it on a bit too long. Great night. What you reckon? What you at now? Back to school?

Alrite you greasy cockfart! How's the form lad? Naw gave Mastodon a skip this time - the sound was so poor at that last S&A gig that I refused to return. Also, quite broke and pretty sure I went to 3 other gigs that week... Were you at Iron Lung / Municipal Waste? Just slaving away in final year sham. Had a big hand in today, so a few weeks off now till the revising for exams shall begin. Think I'm for a wee gig tonight - ...And So I Watch You From Afar and La Faro in the Limelight. Should be good banter. How're things with you my man?
