Your incompatibility with Vipey is Low. You both don't listen to BTS, Limp Bisket and French Montana.

I love how I found you first on greek black metal artists' sites, and now I see you on High-Functioning Flesh one. And in taste-o-meter we have additionally Den Harrow in common.. and looking at your charts I'm not sure if I'm not looking at my library from ~2 years ago. I surely haven't given enough attention to your library, mate!

Cheers! I think I saw you post something on both Zemial and Agatus a time or two. I had the pleasure of meeting Vorskaath back in 2015 - awesome guy. I love HFF too. I discovered goth, new wave, and prog rock all around the same time so it just kind of meshed with my black metal tastes.

You are right, that's really sad thing. Not to say Scandinavia tend to make bad black metal, but their sound is somehow more chaotic and predictable, unlike atmospheric greek one. Such a shame, I have no idea how I discovered greek music.. my memories are totally faded at this point. I only remember I found Septic Flesh, so Rotting Christ was my next step. Then I got to know Zemial/Necromantia (again don't know how they appeared), and finally after my first Rotting Christ show I discovered Varathron - because they were touring with RC then. And only from this moment I remember how I drown in this scene, which quickly became my favourite. By the way, do you have any recommendations from stuff we were talking about? I always love discovering new greek bm/prog-rock/new wave stuff, as they're really close to my heart.

Of course - as far as prog goes, Museo Rosenbach is an underrated classsic from Italy, if you're not familiar with them. I discovered Echolyn from US recently, and their first album is pretty cool neo-prog from 1991. Are you familiar with other italodisco like Den Harrow? Modern Talking is a good one. There isn't a lot of Greek BM that I'm familiar with, but some bands in a very similar style, like Sacriphyx. A band I used to play in called Apochryphal Revelation has a release that is very Greek sounding: https://apochryphalrevelation.bandcamp.com/

Well, four months break, but at least I listened everything you wrote here, haha. Sorry for that, anyway. As for what you recommended: Sacriphyx hooked me instantly, so thanks for it a lot! The rest was interesting, but I need to give them some more spins, I guess. / And for italo disco.. I love this genre, so yeah, I'm familiar with many similar sounds. Lately I even made deeper research, so I found more obscure italo disco projects, such as Heartbreak or Max Him ("No Escape" by the latter is just precious song)

Your compatibility with Vipey is Low. You both listen to Iron Maiden, Slayer and Opeth. Wrong. Compatibility is 100%

I'm pretty sure my musical genre swathe would be completely fucked if I had started to scrobble all the esoteric psychedelic electronica in which I listen to on the regular.

I've listened to all their studio albums at some points in the past, but I'm going through them all chronologically again. Black Celebration, Music for the Masses and Violator really did it for me. Industrial, eh? I've been trying to get into Ministry. Eugh. The only thing I really liked was their first (synthpop) album. I've been meaning to listen to Skinny Puppy so I'll get on that too! :)

Yeah that's understandable, the internet got pretty boring/life got busier so I don't really care for it as much as I used to nowadays. I've been doing pretty well, hope all is well for you too. We should talk more often.

Well, the Either/Or and eponymous albums would make for good starting points in my opinionion. It's fantastic sad bastard music.

Haha. I use it, but only within the confines of individual artists or playlists or whatnot. I like putting The Cure on shuffle in the summertime. Also, Elliott Smith. I wholeheartedly approve.

Glad to hear that. I've been listening to a lot of shitty music just for personal amusement. However, I do enjoy said amusement. Hence, it would appear that I enjoy shitty music. Flump. :(

Oh shit, I see you being awesome all the time. :) When I went to Fluff Fest in the Czech Republic over the summer, I saw all these Czech people wearing their merch, so I thought I'd check them out. Good discovery. I am pleased. How's life?
