Its not for everybody. lol. I just really like that old funk from the 70s-80s. That stuff was the foundation for hip hop and early electronic dance music. Back in the day, when sampling was still popular amongst rappers/djs, that was the main source for beats.

Well, I don't know how it is in Belgium, but here, even though we are equal, there is still a sense of segregation amongst cultural groups in the States. We tend to stick to our own social norms. Personally, as a white person, find hip hop music since the mid 90's awful, but that doesn't mean all white people feel the same way. It comes down to how compelled you feel to conform to your social norms...

Yes, it is a rarity. Makes me wonder why there aren't more all African American rock bands? Some of the best guitarists of all time are black! Why resort only to rapping?

Mother's Milk sound, absolutely! I'd love to hear some more songs like Stone Cold Bush! To me, that's their second best album after Californication. And I never said I hated SA, in fact, there are 2 songs on there that are in my top 10 favorite rhcp songs: Hey and Turn It Again.

Yeah I'm on the fence about them now... I think they've lost some of the magic they had back in the 90's. Stadium Arcadium in my opinion wasn't all that great, and who knows how it will be with a new guitarist. I also think that Stadium Arcadium would have been a much better album had they just put the best songs on one disc and called it a day. Not to mention, some of the songs they released as singles were terrible. I never want to hear Dani California again... ugh...
