How goes it over here?

I just saw what you are listening to - nice one! ;-)

hey. i just saw that you got the hard drugs record. do you mind telling me where you got it? cant find it anywhere here in germany...

That Bun B jank is nice. Feel free to drop me replies of good recommendations, especially on the mixtape tip.

That Damon & Naomi record is great, isn't it? Certainly worth $2. Total coup.

I left this question on the message board, but what is the name of that Bun B mixtape?

Have you read that Impulse book yet? I've never heard any of Jarrett's Impulse stuff, but I guess its really different to his ECM output. He signed a weird contract enabling him to save his 'grander' more classically influenced material for the latter.

Ha! Loved The Necks already!

I'll have to get that Carl Craig off you. Jeez, how good is that Starving Weirdos record? One listen and I'm hooked. 'Ocean Seal Concentration' is my already my favourite epic drony closing track since Henry Flynt's 'Celestial Power'.

What do you make of the Martyn Fabric 50? I think its pretty solid myself.

In short, total 80s Oilers of a record.

Yeah, it really is phenomenal. I started out by worshiping the middle bit ('Geoffrey Ingram' - 'Jackanory Stories') but now I like the last five songs even more. 'La Grande Illusion' and 'Picture of Dorian Gray' are both absolutely gorgeous, especially considering they're relics from the postpunk era and were probably recorded on a broken shoestring budget.

Hi Jared - thanks for the friend request! You've got some nice music taste going on there! It must run in yr family!

It's quite different, because it was recorded live in the studio, which is a far cry from the heavily arranged last record. But it's brilliant on the first couple listens...the feelgood record of the year, and some of the lyrics are genuinely funny. Probably my favourite Canadian band right now.

9 Ball rules!

Welcome aboard the BCB group...

are you going to the atlas sound show?
