Awesome dude, thanks for the recommendations, I haven't heard of any of that stuff so I'll check it out. Do you listen to Swans? They came out with a new album recently that was pretty good, Godspeed You! Black Emperor! as well, both a little different from earlier stuff. I'm pretty excited to check out Neptune Towers since its fucking FENRIZ! Cheers!

Im actually in a similar situation, just finished school, I'm working part time but looking for full time work. I haven't really been keeping up with music, going back and forth between new electronic sounds and metal I listened to from years ago. I've been really listening to more downtempo, idm, ambient stuff as well. Since you listen to Flying Lotus I would recommend his latest from last year, Until the Quiet Comes if you haven't heard it already. Additionally for more chilling I would also recommend Full Circle from Shigeto and some Shlohmo albums, speicially Camping EP, Shlo-fi EP and/or Shlomoshun. Any recommendations from yourself? I am slowly getting back into the groves with metal and always looking for more electronic stuff, anything really!

It's actually quite decent. Has a similar feel to Colors. These awesomely quirky passages, backed with heavy-as-fuck parts. I saw you have a proper amount of plays, so I wondered if you listened to it.

Cool, glad you like it! I have no idea when it's coming out, but supposedly sometime later this year. Those Sufi guys rock it. :D

Yeah, it is quite cool. The first game's soundtrack will always be my favourite, though. Same with the actual game, heh. Let me know what you think of DS. Loving this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOZwOg4kTb4&feature=plcp

Hehe, that's great. The Onion is awesome. Damnit, this sucks. I'm really gonna miss his stuff. Our world needs more like him. Let's hope someone will take over the torch.

You didn't know!? Yeah, it's terrible. He's released a couple of documentaries on it as well. Such a great mind being eaten by a cruel disease. ;_;

Yeah man. He's awesome! I think many people have the perception that he writes mainly about religion, but it's the minority of his stuff. His political and cultural stuff are fantastic. His essays are ace. Such a fantastic writer. His case always reminds me of Terry Pratchett, who has Alzheimers. There is no justice. :(

I saw on my Goodreads update that you're reading some Hitch. Good stuff, man! I'm a big fan of his essays, as well. Just read this one: http://www.vanityfair.com/culture/2012/01/hitchens-201201 Nearly shed a tear. ;_;

The artwork is phenomenal, Takehiko's detail over just a page is really absorbing. The story alone is crazy too. I'm starting with the 4th volume in the big book series. I have some of the Lone Wolf & Cub series, I think the first 4 books. I mean the films speak for themselves but reading the books are really cool too. I stopped reading them though because I couldn't get ahold of the next three volumes, which is a shame. Need to complete them all!

Yeah, I remember there was no cohesion, just a loose jumble of sounds. Which I thought was a bad thing, because his previous releases had that chaotic element to it, but there was always a bigger picture that the sounds made out. This one didn't feel like that at all. He also managed to progress and evolve his sound on the previous releases, so as to not become stale and predictable. The newest one, eh, I dunno. :|

Goodness, what an awesome show that would have been. :O Yeah, I've listened to it, only once though, and it was awful. :| You say it takes more listens?

Them with Isis? Woah, do want! Nah, unfortunately not. I think they're pretty unique. Industrial hip-hop isn't what people flock to, I suppose. :D

Hey, I'm digging your charts. Check out [artist]Hollow Leg[/artist], doom metal from Florida! They're playing some dates with [artist]YOB[/artist] and [artist]Dark Castle[/artist] this month. Listen to them here and here!

Hey dude, I see you listened to Cannibal Ox. If you're looking for interesting hip-hop, listen to Dälek, if you haven't already.

Hey I watched 13 Assassins, it was good, very enjoyable even though I watched it on a big screen at crappy DVD quality (couldnt find the DVD around my area). Pretty cool movie, a lot better than I thought it would be from what I saw in the trailer.

Sounds good, I'll probably watch it Friday or sometime sooner, its good to hear that you liked it but I'm just really skeptical because lately I've been really disappointed with what I've seen in the theaters.

Hey have you seen this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-IzbkXo7bo Looks like a westernized 7 Samurai, but its a Japanese director who's apparently done some good stuff...

Thats cool about DA2, I'm into action haha. I dont think Ill get MVC3 until I have a proper fight pad, just hard to go without it but I dont play much games now so doesn't make sense to buy it yet seeing as there's no deals anyway. Aside from the Gears 3 beta I'm kind of looking forward to Brink in May. If i remember correctly you liked Amon Tobin, he actually released a remix album of the Splinter Cell 3: Chaos Theory soundtrack called "Chaos Theory Remixed", check it out, it has some pretty good tracks. Also his contribution to Conviction was good, man I miss that game, just not enough to do I think after 50ish hours. I hope they make that Hitman announcement at E3, man I loved those games and Jesper Kyd made some good soundtracks for them too...

Hehe I'm doing good, working and going to school, not much time for games recently, just getting on Black Ops or Reach every now and then at night, getting really boring though, I want something new, might pick up Dragon Age 2, for sure pre-order Gears 3 for the Beta in April. I still haven't got MVC3 because I have no fightpad, how is it anyway? What have you been playing?

Hey dude I went to see Weedeater on Sunday and thought I'd let you know that they were amazing, remembered you were from NC and here I see you got a dragon (Jason...The Dragon??) on your profile too. Awesome! Opening for them were two local doom bands, Palace of the End and On the Verge. Check em out! I had a "reading week" at school and I went to see the Finnish Metal tour with Ensiferum and Finntroll and the God is Dead (To hell with God) tour with Deicide (and originally Belphegor but they didnt make it), they were all good with the best crowd and Ensiferum, unquestionable stage presence of Deicide but the doom show with Weedeater was the most consistent, only $15 for 3 amazing bands in a tiny venue, my beer was on a table right in front of the stage and the glass was dancing around and the beer was forming standing waves. Its been a while, how have you been?

Haha! That's an awesome coincidence! Fast track it! Although novels like Shogun can consume you. I have Gai Jin on the shelf, haven't had the courage to attempt it yet. Same with The Brothers Karamazov. It's supposed to be arguably the best novel ever written, but I feel I can't do it justice if I don't give it my full attention. :/ Hmm, music, yeah, I see you've already got the new Earth, which is awesome. I haven't been listening to much metal these days, though, because I can't listen to it at work, but do you know Triptykon? Their album is fantastic. I've been listening a lot of folk stuff lately. Give Josh Ritter's So Runs The World Away and Frank Turner's Love Ire & Song a shot, if you want.

I've only heard good things about The Stranger, so I'm quite amped to get into it. I'd recommend The Myth Of Sisyphus or The Plague if you're looking for something else of his to read. I've been wanting to read Gaiman for quite a while now. Apparently his Sandman graphic novel series is also well worth it. So much to read ;_;
