great old school taste, greetings from Caracas. Hails.

Classic death metal old school taste from the pits of hell \m/

thanks for the ad

Haha yeah true enough. ;) Hell yes I am! I got my "Thor" ticket package in the mail today, for all 3 days. I have a strong feeling we won't be able to lift our heads after it all, haha. I really hope they have Venom merch, I'm sure they will, but I just remember the time Sodom didn't have any.. which really sucked. Yes, that's the only class I'm taking, then I'll hopefully be starting up in SAIT for the fall of 2013.

Those sound really good! One day I need to break free from cheap whisky and beer, and try some other liquors. I know, isn't Noctis going to be insane? I still can't believe some of the bands announced... Some of my all time favourites! I'm afraid I might spend all of my money on merch and beer though, but it'll be worth it. Yeah, but I deserved to fail, seeing as I put a very minimal effort into the class. =P But yeah, that's where I'll be, what's it like?

We were only there for a few minutes, the guy whose house we were seeking shelter with just looking at us awkwardly out his window. Then it turned into buckets of water and we rode home, completely drenched. That sounds great, despite the heat. The liquor sounds good too haha, is it fancy stuff? Also, if it's not too long of a wait, 3 weeks after you get home there is a string of shows which I can't wait for. Not sure if you're into all of these but there's Anthrax on the 21st, Skull Fist on the 22nd, and Noctis (obviously) 27-29. I can't believe the line-up for Noctis now... some of my favourite bands. It's going to be killer! And yes, I'm taking Math 30-1 at Chinook Learning.. unfortunately I failed Pure Math 30 haha.

YES it was amazing. Me and my friend just biked mountain trails and tubed in the river like all the time hahaha. It was great weather despite one random rainstorm, where me and my friend had to find shelter from hail, it was pretty brutal. Anyways how's it going there? When do you return?

Damn that sounds awesome! Yeah, camping is fun. That's actually what I've been doing the past 4 days, out in the crowsnest pass. I wish I was still there haha. And yeah, Calgary does need more wicked black thrash. Hopefully we will have some good recordings in the near future.

WOW THAT'S HOT! I'd be melting, not a huge fan of the sun, unless there's a cold lake or river nearby. Are you by the sea? Yeah, we're still working on lyrics... Our first song is nearly finished with lyrics, and we've got a bit for our second, but none so far for the third. We had to scrap a whole song because there was too much different styles going on and they weren't blended very well. But it isn't a bit it isn't a big loss because the riffs are still there. We're also working on another song, probably our last before we record or something. We are working slow, but I know it's going to be worth it, I'm very satisfied with the stuff we have so far!

Haha it's been pretty damn awesome so far. Keeping fairly busy with work, hobbies and friends. How has Bulgaria been?!

Hmm, I'll have to check them out. And nothing really surprising, bands like Gatekrashor, Hrom, Savage Streets, Fornication, Crystal Mess, Ominosity... I've probably missed a few haha. How about you?

Cool cool, what's the Bulgarian scene like? Any cool bands?

Yeah.. I heard about that one. I'm not going, really not my music or scene at all. It's unfortunate that it's your last show before you go, but there will be others haha

Actually I really enjoy English, but I didn't really put any effort into that class because I don't need it.. It was just a filler so I could go back to school. Wow 2 months? I hope you have a great time! Calgary's going to be a lot less metal during your absence hahaha

It was part B of English, so I'm happy that's all over. THAT'S AWESOME! I bet it's beautiful there.. take me with you! Haha, how long will you be there?

GOOD GOOD.. pretty long. I didn't find it too difficult though. I almost missed it though haha I seem to be alarm clock challenged lately. How are you?

Alright, I'll keep that in mind!

Yeah, Marduk's definitely a band I'd pay to see again. And unfortunately I'm a maybe regarding the show tomorrow. I recently discovered I work late on Saturday and Sunday, and I have another diploma on Monday. I'm thinking on using Friday to study, but if I get distracted I'll come and hang out!

I loved the show, it was great to have a line-up where there wasn't a band I didn't like (not sure about Reverend Kill because we missed them). Weapon slayed, as expected. Such an intense live band! Withered was alright, but as you know I only bothered to check out half their set. 1349 was much better live than I had expected, which was awesome. And Marduk was amazing, and I really enjoyed their selection of songs. It was a show I had been looking forward too for a long time and I was not disappointed whatsoever! What did you think of it?

Hmm, well I haven't explored much death/doom but some good bands I like and own some material of would be Coffins from Japan and Hooded Menace from Finland. But if you're looking for something a bit more... melancholic, I'd look to the Canadian band As Autumn Calls. I randomly purchased a copy of An Autumn Departure on tape from Sloth records last year and was blown away. Here's my favourite track from the album! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxL_ZZeD5oY

I'll fit it on.. somehow... might have to start making a second layer HAHA. Oh right, I remember you asking for Black/Thrash recommendations, and I figured you might like these guys (unless you've already heard of them). This is the long, epic closer for their second full length album Endzeit Metropolis. GERMAN BLACK/THRASH!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSlAUpJjHCk

Yeah I saw those on Facebook, they look wicked! I'll have to pick one up when I see them. And yeah, sorry I didn't show up, I wanted too though!

Haha yeah. So how was Begrime?!

Yeah, I bet they will. Noctis is awesome though, I love waiting to hear the band announcements, it's like opening presents haha.

Haha yeah, you too! Study hard and whatnot. So what do you think about the bands announced for Noctis? I'm personally excited for Agalloch and NUNSLAUGHTER!

Yeah, I'll definitely be seeing you there! So excited for Marduk, 1349 and Weapon! Nothing is new with me either, but I'm happy school is wrapping up now.

Likewise, lots of awesome bands you got here! Indeed, Satanic Warmaster is definitely my favourite black metal band, and has been for some time now. Haha so what's new with you?

DIVDENA!
