I liked DB-T - bought and really enjoyed "A Blessing And A Curse" and "Brighter Than Creation's Dark" - but it's only in the last six months, since buying my ticket, that I really investigated their back catalogue and discovered just how awesome they are. Musical conversion of the year for me, I think. You might enjoy Richmond Fontaine; they're a bit like a quiet DB-T, a bit like Springsteen at his glummest and really good live. Hope you get something out of The Blue Nile; their mopey Scottish synth-pop isn't for everybody, but for me they're as good as music gets. Something of a family tradition for us, too; when they tour, which is almost never, me and my parents tend to follow them up and down the country.
