Neo-Prog seems to be the redheaded stepchild of Progressive music, which is very unfortunate, the genre has some real gems, both hidden and more open, and doesn't have to hide in the shadows of the big 70s bands just because their music is more accessible and focussed on emontionality.

Who says that? Marillion, often named as the first band with the neo-prog label, revitalised the entire genre and breathed new life into the older bands.

Neo prog is amazing, I just wish Iq would put out more material than having to wait 4 or 5 years between albums. Amazing vocals peter nichols

It all goes back to Genesis. You can actually feel the heavy influence. Marillion and Pendragon are great examples.
