Roche Musique labelmates FKJ, Darius, and Crayon have officially linked up with Wayne Snow to form The Nightbirds. Known for their nü French House sound, this is the first time that the four will create music collectively. The new band has just released a series of tracks on Soundcloud off their 1st Session EP. The sound coming from the four follows FKJ’s transition towards a mellower groove. Compared to the relatively upbeat French Kiwi Juice album released earlier this year, 1st Session leans towards darker, deeper sounds. As expected, Roche Musique’s smoky lounge vibe seeps in through the whole EP courtesy of Darius and Crayon.
