Yes! Yes! Yes! This record is simply brilliant! Probably the pinnacle of the skate-core collective from Venice/L.A., and certainly their definitive breakthrough. A milestone that truly deserves the overused term "cult." As early as 1988, the five Californians led by frontman Mike Muir had opened new dimensions in metal with "How Will I Laugh Tomorrow...". Their ferociously intense and lightning-fast style, rooted in punk and hardcore, was propelled to a new, higher level through breathtaking riffs (thanks to Rocky George), an impeccably powerful production, and, not least, Mike Muir's exceptional vocal presence. While on their 1988 masterpiece ST were still transitioning from their skate-punk roots towards a metal-oriented, mass-appeal crossover, with "Lights, Camera, Revolution" they had arrived.

This unique blend of emotionally charged guitars, funky, driving bass lines, and punchy, dry drums was combined with Muir's skills as a composer and performer, capturing both the raw aggression and authenticity of the streets and the distinct, heart-wrenching pathos that resonates deeply. This material remains unmatched to this day. Need examples? The album opens with the fast-paced anthem "You Can't Bring Me Down", followed by the trio of "Lost Again", "Alone", and the funk-infused standout "Lovely", marked by the fresh input of newly recruited bassist Robert Trujillo. What a start! Not a single eye stays dry! But the band had yet more to offer on this masterpiece: the politically charged "Give It Revolution", the Suicidal-typical uptempo banger "Get Whacked", which starts with strings and brass (!), and the ironically amusing "Send Me Your Money" are additional highlights on this killer album, packed with ten standout tracks in total.
