A great transitional album. And I refuse to listen to the 2005 remaster. The drum parts ruin the feeling.

Bruh, I'm so glad I own this album, because the Spotify album has all of them lumped into 4 tracks WTF. Seriously, great tunes.

Damn it Porcupine Tree. There's GOT to be a period in your career when you made an album that wasn't amazing. [3]

I've been listening to the original, 1993 release as well as the 2005 re-work recently and all I can say is that the original stands as one of the greatest things I've ever heard. The programmed drums, from the perspective of someone more familiar with the re-work, could have been a problem but what you lose with looser drum fills and more of a 'band' sound on the 2005 version, you gain with a more intricate, focussed, drum sound on the original which for me is a definite plus due to the nature of the often 'trance-like' music. I like that the mix is more generous with the keys, too. Takes the atmosphere to a whole new level for me. I HIGHLY recommend this if you only know the re-worked version.
