don't know but funny enough, i like Windows 8 a lot and I'm thinking to buy a Surface tablet. This is a real irony because my main desktop OS is Linux MINT and I used to write a lot of negative comments about M$. I know I'm still an Apple Mac hater but my opinion of M$ has gradually become more positive.

Our lists are fairly similar, with his Bobness at the top, and Pet Shop Boys, Joni Mitchell and all the classical stuff. I almost feel like I have a soulmate in Beijing :D

imho "Content" will always hv a higher priority over "Quality" esp when the quality difference is only noticeable to a minority (true that this may not be a factor in the way u r framing ur argument but this can't be ignored in marketing the spotify product). For me, im enjoying my foobar 'coz it is streaming flac to my audiophile hi-fi system - actually better than SqueezeCenter/Squeezebox combo :)

Really like your Spotify playlists, especially the Alex Ross, Rest is Noise one. That book (and the follow up) has really got me into that sort of music that I hadn't explored before. Just discovered you've got a Last.fm profile too.

u r right. dylan had a concert in HK in the 80s. I think i still hv the t-shirt i bought outside the gate at the Coliseum :) I don't remember if i mentioned it to you that i didnt enjoy his show that time (despite the fact the i consider myself a dedicated fan of his). hope he will perform better this time. enjoy!

spotify is good and i actually wanted to pay them to try out the higher quality stream. i couldn't pay them with my credit card or thro' paypal - they are no UK. im trying we7.com - the best abt them is that they allow streaming of a full album (that's the way I like to listen to music).
