Yes I enjoyed doing the paintings, so the quality of my work didn't really bother me. And here are my two albums + 1 single: http://charmingtimur.bandcamp.com/music Had enough is exactly the same as it is on the album, so you can just ignore that one. You can download the albums by "buying" them with price set to 0. It gives you a free download link. What kind of music does your friend make?

You seem to be pretty gifted at drawing! I mean seriously, like the stuff on your blog is pretty extreme when it comes to skill level. I have made oil paintings and even took a course about it, but everything I do just ends up looking very childish lol. I guess I'm more meant to do music than graphics.

It's okay. I don't log in here everyday either. Sometimes there's just other stuff. I buy CDs too sometimes, just to support the artists. Usually from lesser known bands. There are also a couple of CDs out there that I'd really want to have, just for the sake of having them, but they're really hard to find. Maybe someday...

I pm'd you the links now. Maybe CDs will get collection-value like vinyls have now. Many modern bands release their music also on vinyl because some fans want to buy them. I could imagine CDs becoming something like that too. I don't know if it will be such a bad thing anyway if CDs just die out. At least it will save nature, if nothing else good comes from it. Saving nature is pretty hopeless at this point though. This planet is doomed, lol.

Oh okay! Levykauppa X used to be better back in the days, nowadays there's a much smaller collection of music available. I guess all record stores will eventually die out anyway. I don't really see many people buying CDs in 2025. Even now it's very minimal. I only buy CDs when I want to support a certain band, and I've always heard the music before I buy the CD. I can provide links for those 2 bands I mentioned if you want. Their music is not very easy to find.

Btw where did you download the Brüssel Kaupallinen material, or did you just buy their album? I can't find their stuff anywhere!

Sometimes the least known bands can be surprisingly good. Sometimes it leaves me wondering why nobody knows about them. Now this is a very unknown band: http://www.last.fm/music/Brik also because they made music in 1999-2000 lol. Here's an EVEN MORE UNKNOWN BAND: http://www.last.fm/music/Macrosystem lol. These bands are not from Finland though.

It's extremely windy here too! And all kinds of dirt and dust fly with the wind and get into everyone's eyes and nose and throat lol. Finnish music scene is usually very introverted and the bands are not marketed internationally that much, so yeah you could consider yourself lucky to have discovered some of those. Something like Jacks of All Trades is like SOOOO Random, lol even here nobody knows that band.

How is the weather in France? You seem to know lots of finnish bands, that's quite random.

Filter is one of my favorite bands of all time, but I can't easily recommend their new album to anyone. I won't go historic on you or anything, but based on the taste I see from you, I can definitely throw their last album (2010's 'The Trouble With Angels') at your radar. Yes, the band has their huge hits from their earlier years, but that aforementioned record was a solid album and i'm not sure what went wrong but they definitely dropped off between that and their 2013 release. Enough babbling from me, here's two songs if you're interested. I also left you a comment on your RYM page (Why don't we get email alerts for those? So weird). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9eXcEsHGqdk and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TacMfL8wu1I

Finally finished my best of 2013 list. Enjoy! By the way, I did vote for your KoRn submission, not sure if I responded about that or not. https://rateyourmusic.com/list/DetoxScission/top_20_albums_of_2013/

Ha, you don't actually need to apologize, i'm only messing with you. And yes, I am quite enjoying Murdered Love. So far it's the most stable album i've heard from them since Satellite, which i'm a big fan of (As cliche as that may be coming from a Nu Metal fan, heh). As well, yeah, the Linkin Park album got to me and slipped higher than I originally anticipated, but looking at the list as a whole, with the little I actually listened to in 2012, it fits right where it belongs. And yes, let me know what you think of the recommendations (Megadeth, particularly) when you get a chance to settle down with them. Ciao!

I'll try to keep recommendations to a minimum so as to not overwhelm you in any sort of way, heh. I personally turned my back on Linkin Park around the time of "Minutes To Midnight" like so many others and I tried... really tried to do the same to "A Thousand Suns", but it eventually got it's claws in me and wouldn't let go and "Living Things" was an easy transition from there. I've since gone back and become accepting towards M2M. Oh and i'm sure you'de see it eventually, but i've started my Best Albums Of 2012 countdown on LitW. Check that @ http://lostinthewoods.forumotion.com/t117-detox-s-top-15-of-2012-countdown. Joona, it would seem, should be starting his soon as well.

Glad to hear it. I was kind of expecting "Eww, don't send me recommendations. Go away!", but perhaps that's just the inner pessimist in me lol. Also, glad to see someone else seems to enjoy 'Living Things'. Definitely not deserving of the crap it gets.

Here are some things that I think are worth checking into, if you wish to do so. The first one is the lone single/video from the first Unloco record (And my first exposure to the band all those years ago), a pretty track called "Face Down": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhKa6dZb6Q4. As well, something from a Canadian (French... Canadian... See what I did there? Heh.) Alternative Metal band called Finger Eleven, that a lot of more recent music listeners would know for the rock radio hit "Paralyzer" and the acoustic ballad "One Thing". Despite the fact that I do like their newer sound a bit, it doesn't stand up to the band's earlier material, most notably their 'Greyest Of Blue Skies' record from 2000. Here's one of the videos from that album, a tune called "First Time": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChDI5pkK8JM. Dig it!

Heh, my knowledge has it's moments of usefulness. But yeah, i've never turned my back on my past musical absorptions. I love new discoveries just as much as nostalgic re-immersion sometimes. I had forgotten that you Frenchies enjoy your frog legs. I used to know the name for that delicacy but it's currently lost on me. Are you also the country who started the world's fascination with caviar ? I've never had either of those, but they don't sound appealing to me... but then again, a lot of things don't sound good but turn out to be great. Perhaps one day. On a side note, kudos to the heavy amount of Unloco plays! Love that band and especially their second record, "Becoming I". Their debut is a little rough, but I still like that one a lot too.

Oh worry not, my music nerdisms came from years of anti-social research (Not a recommended course of action!) before I actually started to maintain some form of social, healthy life, so it's not like i'm some super researcher, I just chose to use up a lot more of my free time looking into music than most people should lol. And a lot of your regular taste on here isn't actually far off from things I like to (Or liked to a lot before, but still occasionally go back to now) listen to, such as: Black Light Burns, Blindside, Deftones, Linkin Park, P.O.D., Project 86, Evanescence & Katatonia. Also, I am super old and cranky, leave me alone about it! So how is Frenchland? I know nothing about France except for the fact that you have the Eiffel tower, your language migrated to Canada, we have a handful of products here that start with 'French', you had a strong underground resistance against Germany in WWII and most people seem to think you guys are smelly and wimpy.

Well someone has to, you kids are out of control! Heh. But yeah, it was just luck that I happened to be on Joona's page and I said "Oh look, his friend has a cool little avatar, what is that?" and then onto your page and "Hey wait, I know a Justine from France".
