Really? Huh . . . I always felt like Elton's version, besides being better produced/mixed (I can't fault the Who for this . . . the vast majority of music from the 60s was not all that "hi-fi"), added a much-needed resolution to the song. The Who's version ends very abruptly, I thought, and I wish they'd expanded on it instead of including some of the other tracks on the album. Or maybe I'm just a sucker for piano and extended instrumental breaks.

I just listened to Future Days with Collin this afternoon as a semi-album project. If I could go again, I think that's what I'd do.

Oh, I dare!!! Though I have the feeling that our compatibility will change once I listen through the entire Jethro Tull discography through the scrobbler.

http://pitchfork.com/news/36409-beck-recruits-mgmt-devendra-banhart-to-cover-leonard-cohen/ I though you may be interested in this, if I remember right Songs of Leonard Cohen was one of your favorites of his and Beck and MGMT covering him can only be... interesting I guess is the word. Also, the first record he covered for this project was The Velvet Underground and Nico, also probably pretty interesting.

It looks like Sufjan Stevens is touring some small venues this fall, including Portland, Maine on October third. It could be sold out at this point, but if not how cool is that?

By the way, you know how you make playlists as a form of journaling? Well, i'm starting to do it too. Best decision ever. It's like having my heart (in all the conditions it's been in over the past semester) ripped open and poured directly into my ears for a full 3.1 hours (that's how long my This Time In My Life playlist is). Somehow, it feels great. So glad I started. Thanks.
