music is something that sometimes i think well this isn't the best thing i've ever heard, but it's catchy so why would i bother being pretentious as hell and ignore what i could just simply enjoy even though i can clearly see it's been stuck in my mind regardless of my criticism towards it. i'm actually kinda picky with what i like and dislike also, my brain usually wants to stick to certain sounds and beats even though i like discovering & exploring different stuff as well. but i still can't get myself to shit on something i dislike, let alone feel superior in any sense, even though to me my music taste is delightful. but it's "my" taste for a reason. this just reminds me i absolutely can't stand taylor swift's last albums but my friend is a hardcore swiftie and i absolutely feel no sense of superiority in any ways to her (and i'll assure you i probably look like an average rym user at times bc i am so eager dig more "niche" artists for the sake of funsies) ++

because i dislike katseye too, which i think just as equally bad as taylor's last releases but i do admit they do have a few catchy songs which eventually makes you dance, sing and all... i don't want to say music is "not that deep", because to me it is, well i think it constructive criticism is fair and important in music as i take it seriously too, but the experiences with the music is just as you said personal and can be contradictory with our judgements. about the transphobic comments thing, i actually just realized how toxic actually some cortis fans also... including those ignorant comments and their ot4 thing, somehow excluding james, again for no reason (apparently they think he's ugly or something pff) i think the last time i engaged with kpop community was when lucas left nct, and then other things happened in nct too so i just quit... i totally did not miss this community at all but i'll stay for only the music!!

yuki kajiura is SO GOOD . i used to listen to pandora hearts ost a lot and "everytime you kissed me" / "melody" is just ethereal. i agree on the vibes, it's impossible to not let myself carried away
