I've always been big on country, but yeah I certainly had a bit of focus in recent years. I'm only really on BEA to talk to Repo and a few others at this point. I spend more time on discord or with RYM lists or something.

Vampire Weekend is almost transcendental for me. It's definitely just pop, but they really know what they're doing. All of their melodies are just... insane! Especially songs like "Oxford Comma", "Hannah Hunt", and "Giving Up the Gun" just click with me. The lyrics can be funny ("I Stand Corrected") or profound ("Ya Hey"), and they do both really well. If they haven't clicked yet, I think "Giving Up the Gun" might be the song to do it (?)

Woah hey man, long time no speak. Hm, for me I'm in college studying electricity now, so that's going well. Life's been ok over all, usual ups and downs y'know. As far as music goes I'm just trying to get back into consistently discovering new stuff and really getting into it, not just listening to an album once or twice or going back to the same old stuff I like. I've been listening to more hip hop the last while but I'm trying to hop back onto folky stuff and whatever else. What about you man?

lol I don't even care what they think!! I won't listen to Lady Gaga or Rihanna or whatever, stuff like that. But stuff like Neil Young or Bruce would have been 'dad rock' or even too mainstream and I would have avoided it. But those artists are popular because they are good, really good. I pretty much listen to whatever now. that's not bad! optimism is important. I graduated university last year and tried moving to NYC, I had interviews and everything but I gave up that towards the end of the summer because it's so expensive. I wanted to then move to Chicago where a friend of mine lives but then I recently gave that up to because I don't want to move to far away from where I am now. It would have been such a drastic change too. But I'm content where I am now I guess. Oooh, I like the new Sun Kil Moon album a lot. I only got into him in the beginning of February, but I don't think that it's his best album I'd say that would honor would go to his first album or April

Wow I see you wiped your library! I'm doing great right now. Keeping busy with school, digging through some new tracks and pursuing some new interests meanwhile. Not bad at all, although I might be living on ramen. How are you buddy?

oh man, that place! I haven't been there since 2011 maybe? and I think that was only to ask for a recommendation or something. I'm doing pretty well, I still manage to listen to a ton and I guess my music tastes have changed as to where I'll listen to something no matter what it is. I used to kind of care what it was and if it was 'unfashionable' I'd avoid it, it's way better when you don't care. You always seem to reset your profile all the time too, how come? Also have you been listening to anything good recently? How have you been?

I haven't heard of any of those except for Earth. Which, say 2 or 3, of that lot is the best? I'll hunt them down before the end of the year and weigh them against my list

hey! long time no chat. I feel the exact same way. There's been so many new records that I just kind of shrugged off and forgot about, or didn't even bother listening to them when they came out. Now, I'm trying to listen to everything that I can before the year's over so I can fairly judge what I think of everything that came out this year. I have to admit, I only started paying attention to new releases since 2009. Every year before that I didn't check out as much new music, and didn't have the capabilities to do so either. But this has been the best year for new music since 2009, at least. God, there's so many good records that came out this year I can't even deal with it. What are some albums that you're really enjoying a lot?

Haha, yes. Ponies have certainly been messing up my charts a lot the past year or so, it's getting pretty ridiculous to say the least. xD Very cool, yeah I love Doctor Whooves/Who quite a bit as well. The 10th Doctor may actually easily be my favorite non-MLP fictional character (I'm towards the end of the 10th, haven't gotten to the 11th yet in the series), Tennant is awesome. ;D

lol @TheRollingBones // idk I just don't understand why so many adults are inclined to watch a children's program. You can watch it, I won't judge you, I'm just confused.

Bad association or not, it's one that's there. Honestly, it's kinda there for anime too. I don't know anyone at school that likes anime and isnt of the bottom of the social totem pole
