in Austin, there's SXSW which was last week which hosts a lot of unsigned bands and indie movies, etc. Basically there's just a lot of free shows downtown. Then in October there is ACL, which is a 3 day music festival. Austin is where I live and is allegedly the"live music capital of the world" so its a really greaat place to visit/live especially if you really like music.

Isn't a side project of a guy from Animal Collective? If not, then I haven't. Yeah, we only have good bands around in summer. This year it's like, seeing Klaxons, DIOYY, subways, royksopp, jose gonzales, The xx, digitalism, jape, new young pony club, metronomy, polar bear. So far. Expecting it to get much better.

Ooh, Kingdom is so cool, I spent a summer in Devon 2 years ago.. Pretty much best summer. And NO, Devon is not that boring as everyone was telling me it was! :D Matthew Bellamy was born there, oh gosh! I'm just envious, cause you come to see all the best indie british bands so easily!
