Good stuff man. Stoked you like Call of the Void...it'll be on my year end list somewhere. Been listening to a lot of grind past few days myself. When you get around to it, I do recommend the Peli EP. 2 Australasiaesque tracks sandwiched between 2 acoustic tracks. Fairly short and fairly cheap if you want a digital of physical copy. I got rid of all my filesharing software a few years back after 2 hard drives crashed. Point being I'd gladly hook my friends up with stuff...but I can't. I'm a staunch "If you like it and want it, buy it" guy. But I try not to condemn the actions of others, esp last.fm heads who I know are good people. Later buddy.

Word, hear you on Russian Circles...great band. Really was into Empros. Total brain fart onmy part, I have the Pelican EP...derp. And was pleasantly pleased by it. Short but sweet. The last full length left me a bit wanting. City of Echoes wasn't bad at all, but the last full length I really dug was The Fire in Our Throats...

I found myself a little underwhelemed by Greymachine's debut. Considering the pedigree. Kind of a dream collective Aaron Turner and Justin Broadrick... Def dense and heavy which I like but kinda of directionless after a while. Maybe a headphone record. I hope they hook up and do either another album or something else for sure. And I haven't heard diddly out of the Pelican camp. There last album was what...4 years ago? Still a fan and hoping they comeback with something special. Hope your well mate. Cheers.

The Call of the Void album is very good...very good. They're not reinventing the wheel or anything... It's loud, dirty, crusty grind. But with just enough rock and h/c elements to give it a different edge. I've been enjoying the shit out of it. Totaly under the radar as well, which is odd considering Relapse put it out. Not exactly an unknown indie label. I recommend it dude. Since it's up the same alley, the new Nails album is SICK. Def a highlight so far. KEN mode's Entrench is typically gnarly. And if you've never checked out Inter Arma, Sky Burial, their newest is amazing. Given you're penchant for Neurosis, CoL, Pelican, Callisto etc...you might really dig it. Let me know if there's anything new that's set your pants on fire this year... Cheers dude!

You know I never checked Zu out...I will now. One of those bands I always heard of but never actually sat down and listened to...Diggin 'em.

The Nintendo games are temporarily down. Today, a security vulnerability forced a new patch to be released which can be downloaded manually (on Windows) by Start > Control Panel > Java > Update tab and clicking the Update Now button.
