Oh man, that's too bad. On the one hand, I'm glad I'm not alone, but on the other hand, it's so disappointing to meet someone you're a fan of and have nothing nice to say about it. I totally agree. Her performance was great, but the aftermath was not good. I had a similar blank stare moment. As you said, really...just...awkward. Her new EP is coming out next month and it's got potential. So, there's that.

No, it was at some bar with no backstage area. So, instead, she walked through the crowd and stopped at the merch booth to sign things. Her bassist was saying "no pictures" to everyone and being a dick and she was somewhere else. I told her my name and she was all "nice to meet you" and 30 seconds later, asked me my name again. Some other stuff happened that was lame, but the performance was solid. Anyway, hope you have fun.

That's awesome! I caught her earlier this year. The performance was good, but meeting her was a bit disappointing. Anyway, have fun!

Have you checked out the new EP yet? http://alexzjohnson.com/

Yeah, The Basement Recordings is the album. I haven't listened to it much either. There were a few good songs, but it's not so great overall. I'm mostly waiting for her next record. Heard anything good lately?

Yeah it is! I'm doing well. How about you? Have you heard Alexz Johnson's B-sides/demo album?

Whoa, I just noticed you were a Carpenters fan. Awesome. I love them!

Hey, did you hear Alexz Johnson is currently remixing "Voodoo" and that she has a new track called "Mary"?

Ah, thanks for checking up on me. I listened to a few singles from each album. Nothing really jumped out at me right away, but I haven't listened to them in a while. I'll give them another go.

Yeah, that's an especially bad ass pic of her. Thanks for the Goldfrapp input. I'll start from there.

Hey, love the new avatar. What's your favorite Goldfrapp album and why? I wanna check into them further, but some of their stuff is too repetitive for my taste.

Well, unfortunately you don't get noticed here in America unless you're doing catchy dance pop songs or the same thing as everybody else. I definitely think she gets more attention in her home country though. Yeah, the title track and "Hurricane Girl" got me first. I had those stuck in my head for days. I'm with you on "LA Made Me". Totally a stand out track and yeah, I wouldn't have chosen "Trip Around the World" as the first single, but she did let people vote. I guess that just proves my point about people's taste.

I see you've been listening to Miss Johnson a lot lately. Her album really grew on me. She just has an undeniable talent. What do you think?

Great taste miss !

Yeah, Aimee Echo has a very unique vocal style that's all her own. Like I said, not the best recording, but I have no way to show you the album version. So, what can you do?

Okay, I found a live version on YouTube. It's not the greatest, but you get the idea. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sm3gwFd5NOU

Unfortunately, I do not. I would direct you to it if I could. It's on their unreleased b-sides collection. I was interested to know what a big Siouxsie fan thought of it.

Friend request accepted for sure. Hey, have you heard theSTART's cover of "Cities in Dust"?

Haha, awesome. I did check it out. The movie itself was kinda lacking, but her performance was great. The guy was good too, but she stole the show, as usual. I can't wait until "Wild Target" comes out!

hiya! it's not low any more :D

I watched the trailer and it looks awesome. I'm definitely gonna check that one out. She's great, the more stuff I see her in, the more I like her. However, I will say that even though she does a good American accent, I like her better when she plays English roles.

Hey, what movie is that clip of Emily Blunt as a brunette above from?

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to buy it because it's not available in the US and I don't wanna pay 25 bucks for it. I have listened to a few tracks though and you're right, very hit or miss. I think it's original, but part of me was hoping for harder stuff. Yeah, being different from Instant Star isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it may take some getting used to. There's potential for sure. I just wish I could find it for cheap.

Honestly, seasons 3 and 4 weren't the greatest, but the music was some of the best. I know, I've waited so long for her solo to come out and it's finally almost here.

Emily Blunt, Alexz Johnson and Shirley Manson are the shit! I'm new to the site and I was checking out my neighbors. Love your varied taste. Are you a fan of "Instant Star"?
