The Clash and Tom Waits on top

Do you have any of the doomtree daytrotter sessions or P.O.S. ones? I was just about to rip the mp3s of outube but the quality isn't great doing it that way (spending the day downloading all the good live recordings from youtube), thought it was worth asking before I did it.

I didn't until you left the shout! Thanks for posting them, you managed to get some really great photos especially considering how much they were moving around. I have about three really blurry ones and that's it.

Cecil's taking the piss a bit with his album, it's been ages since Rebel Yellow and I really like the new songs i've heard (from videos of the Blowout). Ordered Never Better from Amazon, noticed it had gone down to about £14 and that there was only 1 left in stock (though it still says that now aha) so I thought I should get it while I can. This is what I have at the moment (plus that Standards mixtape and blowout dvd which I forgot to include in the photo and a copy of Dessa's false hopes with a broken case) and i've ordered Sims' and Paper Tiger's False Hopes and Never Better on vinyl, still need to get Cecil's false hopes, the other two P.O.S albums, MK Larada's cd, Legend Recognize Legend, BTZ and Burn It Down on vinyl. Gutted I missed their self titled when it was on vinyl too, not sure what else I'm missing. What''s your collection like?

Aha, I've bought so much from their store that I've completely lost track. Ordered the two False Hopes' yesterday and forgot that just before I left the last shout I'd ordered Never Better on vinyl, crossing my fingers it's the clear vinyl version but I'm not sure if they've re pressed it since then.

I really miss his production on more recent stuff, thought his beats worked really well for Dessa's songs as well, yeah I saw the reddit thing (first time I used that website, took me a while to work out what on earth was going on). Hope he still does some stuff for her next solo album even if he's not technically in the crew anymore. Yeah I can barely remember what the song was like, only remembered thinking I hadn't heard it before.

Oh yeah and the Mike Mictlan song was a new one wasn't it? Didn't recognise it from anywhere

Thanks, don't suppose you've put the photos up anywhere? (just saw the one you put on twitter, think I caught you taking that in my video of burn it down) The only decent one I got was of P.O.S and I already put that up on tumblr. What's the MK Larada album like? I'm going to buy it at some point but thought I should probably wait a while considering how much I bought from the merch stall. (and cause I just bought Sims' and Paper Tiger's False Hopes)

Don't suppose you could help with this? Know I've got the first three right an the last three but can't remember the order of any of the songs in the middle at all.

Scratch that, just seen your tweet, I'm so excited for tomorrow, can't believe you managed to get to all three dates!

You coming to the doomtree gig tomorrow? how was tonight/last night?

Way to confuse me Edward!

i think i'm gonna try, but i'm not certain i'll remember all of them, i think i still have most of my old tickets in my room somewhere so i guess it won't be complete until xmas. so many recent scobbles after a year.

It was true when I said it, why else would I have said it?

i just looked at your 'gigs ive been to' thing and realised its pretty sick. i also remember you going to pretty much all of the early ones, i only looked up until like 2009 kinda time.

Our compatability has gone down since last time I checked....You must be listening to too much hip hop.

Oh my god jofo are my number 1 listened to artist WTF

You're in my top 50 now. Number 32. Cool.

I noted it. It's completely pointless though.

What an awesome collection of songs you have just been listening to! I try to only listen to music on significant anniversaries if I can help it.

I didn't know neighbours were ranked? If that's so, then you aint even in my top 50! I'm too exclusive for that. And yeah, still awake. I fail at most things including sleeping and having you as a close neighbour.

use my jass-plate as a truncheon

what do you have against The Decemberists ey?

Haha! I know. Not sure what happened there. It must have been pretty monumental though...

use my jazzhole as an aunt

Hey hey - I've got a free download single at www.oxygenthief.bandcamp.com in advance of my debut album being released on 9th May. Go get it, pass it on!

i am jealous that you seen to be listening to the new tellison record! Is it as good as i'm hoping it will be? I keep telling them that Edith should be their "Monster" song, I can't imagine it not getting huge on the radio!

yeah I've kind of been on a jofo binge the past week, as you will be able to tell from my past 7 days... jofo are 100 and something and the next artist is about 7... its cos I'm lazy and havent found anything new to listen to recently haha

use my arsehole as a cunt

I’d love Edith Wharton! My emails tilda.17@hotmail.com if that helps. It was their show ans she stoped halfway through the show and asked the crowd if we even knew who they were, like they were surprised anyone had actually shown up. They hadn’t even released any music here at that stage…. Oh to live with a musician and get to hang out with all his musician friends… as someone who is completely untalented in actually making music that would be my idea of awesome.

I have been trying to find somewhere to hear Collarbone for weeks but they seem to be keeping it under wraps for now…there’s a pretty bad quality live video of it on YouTube but that’s it, and I haven’t got Edith Wharton I will have to try and find it! You seem to know a lot of musicians, whenever I meet someone from a band I like I turn into a complete mess and I go all fangirl. I met Ritzy Bryan from The Joy Formidable earlier in the year and after taking a few minutes to compose myself I actually had a semi descent conversation with her which was only possible cos no one else at their gig seemed to know who she was!... then I got her to sign my CD haha

So do you have an aussie accent then?? You've seen Tellison 24 times! Wow… I'm very impressed haha, do you know the band members? I’m super excited for their new stuff as its been a while, do you think they will put Wasp Nest on the new album?? I’ve got one Sam Isaac song… I got it when I bought an album from Alcopop records, they sent me a little sample disc of some of their other artists and one of his songs was on it. I will have to check out the Xcerts

Oh you’re an Australian citizen….Have you spent much time here? To be fair there are a few Australian bands I quite like, but the vast majority of the music I like is from far far away….It especially sucks when I hear about two (or more) of my fave bands doing gigs together for an insanely cheap price (eg. Johnny Foreigner and Tellison for 4 pounds in December!!!... it hurts!) And I find most of my music just cruising the interweb and once you discover one good band I find it often leads to finding other good bands who are in some way connected to them… wether they’ve toured together or are just in each others myspace top friends or something

UK music is just better what can I say. One day I’m gonna come visit and see every band I’ve ever wanted to see that wont tour here….. and yes I find a lot of things about music in Australia annoying, (aside for the sometimes shit music) basically there’s one radio station that dictates what alternative music get played and if they don’t play a band, the band wont succeed here. I kinda try and stay away from their bands of the moment… hence the love of comparatively unknown brit musicians!

man, i wish anathallo would tour again, they were so so good live! Italo = many hearts

Aha! Yeah I played the windmill with Anathallo! I did not play nearly as well as I wanted to, was so happy to get to support them though! I think the poster I designed for the show is still on my myspace photos somewhere, I'll have a look and find out who the other support was. Wasn't Dave House as far as I can remember though! :)

hey you're from tumblr yes? You have so many listens... are there enough hours in a day to have listened to that much music!... my mind is blown. anyway... thanks for the add :)

CRAZY TIMES and we're "super" as well, happy times!

how do you manage to listen to so many tracks? you must be elvis.
