That compilation rules - glad you were able to find a copy! Sorry I haven't responded to your message, but I still need to listen to that Oppenheimer Analysis album... I will rectify soon. :)

Deafear, Frigidaire Tango, Victrola, Pankow..don't stop to search and you will find more...for example: listen to the early Diaframma works, Scent Merci and Marte in Ariete. Here my compilation on the italian post-punk: http://nightmares-on-wax.blogspot.it/2012/11/post-punk-in-italy.html Cheers M.

Ciao, M, I finally listened to your compilation and really liked it. I knew a few of the songs already, but there were some real gems on there that I'd never heard. The Plastic Trash song was great too! I'll have a think about something good to send you in return. :)

Really glad you liked the compilation, it was the first volume on the different italian sub-new wave genres but the blogger felt down...maybe i will be able to make real records about this! Plastic Trash are great for sure, they made so few tracks, it's a shame. About your reccomendations, well, my doors are open...something from the underground aussie wave? Something post-punk and cool.. : ) greetings M.

They are great, which is to be expected with Antonio Palermo on board. Thanks, you also have good taste.

Fantastic library down to the core! Can't tell you how happy I am to have finally found another avid appreciator of early SLAG, thought I was the only one who's crazy about the first two albums :D

Oh, so hard to say! Not helped by their stylistic changes over the years either! I do love the earlier post-punk of "The Guilty Have No Pride" and the more electronic "Nada!" but some might say those don't really represent DIJ overall. The next 5 albums I guess are the peak 'apocalyptic folk' albums which tie in with the whole World Serpent scene (esp Current 93). They're all great, but from that era Brown Book might be my favourite, but it is a tough call! That is also probably the most controversial album in terms of the Nazi imagery, which may or may not bother you. From there to mid 00s some of the harsher industrial noise makes an appearance along with the folky stuff. I like it, but maybe best left for later. The last 3 albums are very stripped back. Not bad, but lacking the same feel for me... There is also a great 2 cd compilation "DISCriminate" which covers 81 to 97 - so most of the really good stuff :)

Some great stuff being scrobbled here! I always preferred Here Comes Everybody to Harmony, though :]
