Okay, but what about that Beat the Champ and Goths? The hits keep coming, boys!

Say WHAT now? ;)

but wait, did you see those tour posters? Holy shit, they were amazing. $25 is a lot of dollars though

sorry if I took long to respond to the request, I check my last.fm like I do my privileges - rarely

after seeing the Mountain Goats live the other night, I like the new album even more, I think

Hmm. Oh Lord, A Dangerous Man, Count Me Out, I Like It. That's a good representation of their energy and melody, but probably not their diversity — and I have no way of knowing what would be most to your taste. I hope you like them. :)

http://open.spotify.com/user/willemdekam/playlist/49wDSjc32G6lYCH95mnLlq that's one from a while ago, i'll make new ones

you have spotify? i'll make playlists!

I am seeing them on the 20th as well. I've had the ticket here on my desk for a couple months now.

No love for Spent Gladiator II? After a few listens that's the one that has stuck out most for me. It reminds me of something that would be on Heretic Pride. I saw tmg last year for the first time and it was beautiful. He is just as amazing live as I hoped. They did a 9 song encore as well

I still haven't listened to the weakerthans

THE MOUNTAIN GOATS. What is your opinion on the new album?

o ok. well on wednesdays we wear pink.

Cheers, for sure. Any genre is fine by me. I'll put together something fairly eclectic.

hahaha, not that different. i like the mountain goats and joy division and the weakerthans. :3

The Residents are kind of a weird band to get into. I'd say to start with either Not Available or Duck Stab, if you like those, check out a lot of older stuff, if don't care for those, check out Tweedles and Voice of Midnight.

thanks for the add. awesome taste :)

pretty damn good, not great youtube quality.Thoughts on this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQmT89440D8

damn, I was hoping to get some music recommendations out of this. :(

I listen to music for no reason other than to look good on the internet. Look at how interesting everything I do is.

Already really like The Thermals, and I really haven't given The Mountain Goats a good listen yet, which is kind of absurd. And I was wondering where I'd seen your last.fm before!

Great taste! Where'd you happen to come across my last.fm?

you a butt

Plunder away, I can handle it! I just might take a look through yours too, so batten down your hatches!

Agreed. The music we do have in common is really good. :P

Hi. Sweet tunes. I'm going to listen to your Mountain Goats top tracks because I don't think I've ever heard them (and The Mountain Goats are fucking awesome, as I'm sure you'll agree).

...And I am coming home to you, With my own blood in my mouth, And I am coming home to you, If it’s the last thing that I do.

Aw, just workin in a lab and bartending over the summer so I don't need to work my ass off during classes. It goes.

What's up, superbro?

Hi, thanks for adding me. \o

Cheers bro, I'll try those.

Could you maybe recommend some Mountain Goats albums then?

You have a terrifying amount of plays. Almost 400 plays this week, it's crazy!

Thanks for the add bro

that's a tough one, I love the whole of Wonderful Rainbow, and it's definitely my favourite album of theirs, but I think it just flows so well it's difficult to pick a favourite track, I think maybe Crown of Storms.

yeah it's way more noisey than mclusky and it can seem a bit chaotic at times but imo the sounds they create are brilliant.

You haven't listened to lightning bolt? You're definitely missing out. They're a noise rock duo from Rhode Island and they are brilliant. Get Wonderful Rainbow, my favourite album of theirs.

zopilote is so good, I wish the only vinyl copies on discogs weren't £50+. Can't afford that right now, I just dropped £40 on a lightning bolt record.

I prefer the folkier sound of PWCEPATLPITW (best acronym). The heavier guitars on CM don't do it from me as much, I still love everything AJJ have released though. What's your favourite Mountain Goats album? Zopilote Machine > All

got you beat in mountain goats plays, you got me way beat on mclusky, they're are from the same town I'm from btw

Here ya go. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRORyRXZnxA
