Yeah it really was a fantastic gig. I'd absolutely go to see them again. I couldn't believe it when they started playing Elevation. It's my favourite Alcest song and I really wasn't expecting it to be played. Perfect finish to a perfect gig. I'm listening to Zero now. I really like this guy's voice. We never made it to the catacombs. We were walking around for ages that day and I was exhausted after the gig the night before. I could barely keep my eyes open on the bus tour we did. As for Trist, make sure you check out Zrcadleni Melancholie if you haven't already. It's one of my favourite albums ever.

OK, here's the awesome/funny thing about that. Your comment is exactly how I feel about BD as well. That album is better than any single IM album (looking at just individual tracks, I think it's closer to even). That said, by god, has he recorded some awful, awful shite. Shite so bad, I am embarrassed to look at MYSELF in the mirror after listening to it. hahahaha.

I'm glad you're liking them! I have to admit, I'm really leery of USBM in general, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much that album resonated with me. I cannot get enough of listening to their approach at drumming/dynamics. I should start a list: USBM bands I like -- it ought to be short project. ;-)

Oooh the happy accident :-) I'm the most horrible festival visitor and haven't even checked on lineup updates for utbs (all I know is that Verdunkeln are playing, and that is enough for me ;-)) - I shall check out Furia now, though! If you think highly of them already, they must be good. As for Woods of Infinity- that really IS an accident! I was talking to that Russian guy on lj, and when taking a look at his older journal entries, I found he was listening to Woods of Infinity - and I recalled you listening to them quite often, too, especially in "extreme" situations; so I thought, before I'd forget again, I'd go listen. So far I find them extremely hateful and violent.. where Peste Noir drift into bitter sarcasm, WoI seem to me even colder and angrier o_o It's interesting really, though definitely not something for everday. And there's the moonlight sonata in the background once, I love!! :-) (that was blather without structure..I apologise.)

Argh... I would love to go Metalcamp again, but I doubt that I can afford it. Especially so since I hope I'll be able to travel to Bergen this summer and see Svartediket. But that is pretty uncertain as well... =/

I've been busy planing my festivals-summer the other day as well =D As for The Vision Bleak: During the first few songs I thought they were fun, good music if I'm in the right mood for it.
