I have similar feelings about the film :) he was not well-prepared for the trip, I guess he didn't think about a lot of important things, for example the weather... The worst thing is that it is a real story, I can't even imagine living in the wild, with no one around ... Ok, maybe for a short time - you know, first I would be admiring the wild nature, walking around and watch plants and animals, but what next? For sure I couldn't kill an animal by myself, prepare and eat it... The title of a movie with The Beatles cover is 'I Am Sam' (I haven't watched it yet). I found this cover when I typed 'Eddie Vedder' one day on YouTube :P I don't have Spotify, because it is currently not available in Poland :( But I manage with getting songs somehow :) There's a lot of ways, maybe not all of them are legal... :P so I better not talk about such things aloud :P But I read about the Spotify somewhere, I must say - somebody had a nice idea inventing this :)

It took a looooong time, but I finally watched the movie. I should have done it earlier... Well, it was amazing and really shocking. I knew how the story ends - still, I'm touched. Eddie did wonderful job with the soundtrack - I liked it before, but I respect him even more. I hope there will be another movie directed by Penn, with music wrote and sang by Eddie :) I don't know if you heard this, but EV did great cover The Beatles' song: 'You've Got To Hide Your Love Away' for another Penn's movie a couple years before 'Into The Wild' :) and necessarily listen to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvdqU_jLeC4

Unfortunately, I had no time last week. And tonight my friend visited me and we watched 'A Clockwork Orange' and next 'Drive' - after the first one I'm so mentally tired, so I won't be able to watch something more tonight (it was a little bit weird :P). But I promise - I'll watch it tomorrow :) Let me know how you like it :)

You're welcome :) I haven't seen 'Into The Wild' yet, I planned to watch it a couple of times... I read different reviews and I know that this film isn't easy, and I know the end of this story, so it's hard for me to get the right vibes. I would like to fully understand the message and generally a whole film, but to do that I need a good mood ;) Maybe tonight... :)

I think my favourite album, of course except 'Ten' (but it's classic, right? it's hard to find a person who doesn't like it :P), is 'Yield', next 'Vs.' I guess I prefer early albums. I'm still convincing myself to the last few - I mean, I like these albums very much, but I haven't found something that would really touch my heart like my fav ones, yet :) but everything is changing, so maybe tomorrow, my fav will be 'Backspacer' ;) about Eddie's solo career - his voice is absolutely mind-blowing, but I prefer when he sings with the rest of PJ :) he recorded two: 'Into The Wild' (maybe you've seen the movie, it's the same title, directed by Sean Penn?) and 'Ukulele Songs'. In my opinion the first is better, probably the song "Hard Sun" is the most known.

In this book Eddie talks about lyrics, and he says that 'Yellow Ledbetter' in primal version was about Persian War and about a young man who got a yellow telegram with the message that his brother died in this war. EV says also that the lyrics is still evolving, often he sings things with no sense at all :) To be honest, I really don't know what he sings about in 'Yellow...' because he is mumbling, and every page about lyrics is showing different things. But though I don't understand him, I like this very much, and the riff is amazing :) There's a lot of weird lyrics that I don't fully get, for example 'State of Love And Trust'. I can add another type of songs - songs whose lyrics are simple, but I interpret it in a different way, for example 'Go' (in book, Mike says it's about a car that is going to broke, not about a toxic relationship). I guess that I have to read 'PJ20' a couple times to understand it in sort of way or learn more english (maybe I can't translate it properly?) :P

A'PJ20' book and 'PJ20' film premiere was at the same time, I think that book was an addition to the film and soundtrack from it. But in the book there are so much more! Every year is precisely described by Eddie, Stone, Jeff, Mike, Matt and a lot of other people, and they say about almost every album, track and the most importatnt events (and there are so many nice photos! :) ). So if you have a chance, don't hasitate and buy it! :) My parents gave it to me for my birthday (I was born on August 27th, 1991 - on this day 'Ten' was released, so I thought that it would be a perfect gift :D ).

I haven't seen them live either :( I've been listening to them in a very intensive way for about a year (there were another bands and musicians at the time, you know :) )... Of course, I'd known few songs like Black, Alive, Jeremy etc. before, but I didn't pay much attention to them. And one day... I felt that I just have to get more - funny, I don't even remember how I discovered it :) now, it became a little obsession, and I often think to myself "OMG, you were so fucking stupid when you didn't listen to Pearl Jam, they are so amazing!" :P I have got 'PJ Twenty' book, I remember every second of the film, I know almost every song, I started to collect their albums and the biggest joy is watching them on youtube :D... Sooo, I'm waiting - I hope they'll release something new and there will be an european tour soon... Oooops, sorry for this, I always get so excited when I'm talking about PJ ;)
