not my intention to flood ur shoutbox on here; but if u're in the mood for a hypnosis-fueled space-travelling journey in the vein of Ash Ra Tempel, Cosmic Jokers or just thinking of any amazing kraut/space gem, u definitely need to hear the newest work by Expo '70! "America Here & Now Sessions". best thing i've come across in this genre for a long time...

stopping by to steal some of ur newest musical picks ; ) Marblebog looks interesting... ... while i have been deeply digging in the forgotten caves of Dungeon Synth i would like to recommend u something: Taramis - Night Lore. it became one of my favorites in the past months. and have u already recognised the lesser known The Astral Grief by Lunar Womb? its easy to overlook, really amazing too. also, if u're a little into Biosphere i'd strongly suggest listening to his new album - its HUGELY different from his past works but ... u may take a look on the cover artwork and maybe get an idea what it offers : ) it came up as a personal treasure for me!

not sure if u are already familiar with them but if u want to hear something in the vein of Corona Borealis sometime, u should try out this little nice group called Wolfenmond. especially Flammenspiel / Schattenklang, Sagas and also Wintersturm are really beautiful ones, i think. : )

: ) ! again and always a joy looking at ur recent charts, discoveries, or hearing ur impressions... oh, and u're very welcome! Moonmadness is really one of the albums of 'my life', if thats the right word, just something my heart & soul REALLY clings to. i would still prefer it towards all other Camel albums, despite ALL of them reach a superb quality of prog music in their own, unique creativity. but Moonmadness, hearing the first chords and i'm just floating right away. i see u we're getting alot into Xhol (Caravan), yes yes yes! im really crazy about their live sessions these days, i think its something perfectly fitting to the thick, hot air in the middle of july - while chopping wood or at least imagining to do so ; )

Oh, thank you for recommendation. It really sounds interesting, gonna check it out. You should try Capella Romana - christian choir music done in bizantine way. Gorgeous stuff, make me feel shivers up and down my spine. If you like latin lyrics, try Anaal Nathrakh ( if you don't know them, they're quite famous ). A black metal/industrial/deathmetal (cannot tag them correctly) band that has some medieval prayers or biblical verses spoken in latin in harsh bm songs. Something strangely beautiful - for example - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhR5c2w7zk0 .

Yeah,I know Gauhaert. I discovered them shortly after Urfaust and I'm a big fan of it. Pity that they've released only one albums..would love to hear more. Oh I'm so jealous that you have so many chances to see concerts of Parts music, his music, especially his "sacred" music must sound beautiful live. It's so weird about me - I can listen both to christian sacred music, especially bizantine choirs and occult black metal at one time. I'm not even a christian, yet I adore unearthly sound of their religious music. I got to know about Part becouse of a youtube link to his music that guys from Urfaust posted a couple of years ago on their facebook page. I listened to it and I was like "wtf. I heard it before, but I don't know where". Maybe it's a good think that Urfaust no longer take music of Part's works and that they create something unique and more like them....Anyway, I was a little big disappointed of their ambient album, it's not a masterpiece like Der freiwillige Bettler. Cheers!

Hi. Really great music taste. I saw your comment on Urfaust's last fm page and I finally found someone who found a connection between Urfaust and Arvo Part's music....The funniest thing is - I discovered Arvo Part becouse of Urfaust. Greetings!

hehe, i actually wanted to warn u about 'Beziehungen' ; ) its indeed not as good as their debut. the free-jazz parts are not uninteresting but the mood of the album loses its structure too quickly, somehow, or cant even create it, its falling apart. unfocused is exactly what i thought aswell. 'Osmose' is incredible, yes, nice to hear u're feeling the same! its one of the recommendations i was extremely curious about ur opinion. so... we'll surely find more to discuss now and then : ) thanks!

hello Reinis, once more i'm coming along with a feedback to share. i'm deeply moved. have listened to 'Das Tor' by Paysage D'Hiver last night (it was the first album i checked out of his works) and, oh my, this, AGAIN, is pure bliss i experienced while listening. it made me nearly unable to move for quite the whole time, while staring eyes closed into a sunless, wintry landscape, emptiness wherever u're eyes may wander, almost heavily breathing the freezing air. what an outstanding piece of music... again... i wish i could explain my feelings a bit more but i think u know what i mean. again, thanks to u, making me getting to know another jewel. and Paysage's discography surely offers a whole dimension of more of his works to check out. wow. u always seem to competely hit the mark with ur recommendations!

hey Reinis, its some time ago we spoke about black metal. just wanted to say again thanks for ur suggestions. i was able getting into many of those albums. i can say some of The Ruins of Beverast albums left me speechless, breathless, shaken. im especially talking about 'Rain Upon The Impure'. man. it was and still is exactly what i was looking for... secretely wished to hear. i think there is nothing in that genre that could reach this album in my personal listening diary yet. Verdunkeln is a project i still havent checked out, its on my list. oh, and, i still appreciate Urfaust alot. thinking about getting some of those gems on vinyl, the artwork and design is like an additional gift. maybe u have seen the picture-disc editions, its the artwork those masterpieces deserve. beauty.

well said! totally hits the mark - concerning Eternal Tapestry, its really my favorite new-kraut band since years. Magic Lantern is indeed a wonderful project too. thinking more further, also related to E.T. is Plankton Wat, more quiet but blissful cosmic music, i could listen to him for hours. sometimes i put all the albums into my playlist and just enjoy it the whole afternoon cause i really want to soak up all the magic inside me thats reflecting from his whole discography. maybe thats another, but final recommendation for now, if u dont know him. really dont want to flood u ; ) so yea, take ur time getting into these albums now and then and have some great listening experiences, always! PS: i'm so lucky, getting to see Manuel Göttsching live in a couple of days, this surely will be some important moment for me since Ash Ra Tempel, many people will agree, did something special to my life, through music and also metaphysically.

thats incredible. i wasnt aware i could be the inspiration finding these gems : ) i absolutely agree, some krautrock bands made it to achieve one timeless, fresh sound. have u heard Xhol Caravan? one of my latest finds were also Annexus Quam with their album Osmose. equally addictive as Supernova, i feel. Walther Wegmüller - Tarot is also a good point. Golem - Orion Awakes comes to my mind, aswell as DOM - Edge of Time. krautrock is a pretty small genre u can discover nearly completely in a short time. but still, there are some overlooked, really underrated albums. can u believe Ibliss have been really dissed back in the days? reviews really kind of massacred this album. who knows why? btw, again thanks for ur inspirational recommendations considering black metal, some time ago. i'm more tending to kraut/space-stuff these days but i'll surely come back to this fantastic genre as soon as my ears are ready again!

thanks so much! i secretly wished for a reply like this, i appreciate it alot. i will follow ur recommendations. good to know now where to go next in TRoB' discography... and Urfaust seems like a very interesting project aswell, another band where i wouldnt know where to start. according to ur track mentionings, i might start with their 'Ritual Music for the True Clochard' cause most of the songs seem to be on that album. i'm curious to try them! Midnight Odyssey is something that i already stumbled upon during my usual RYM-list browsing, although, i haven't listened to it yet. this album catched my 'eye' since it has some oustandingly impressive cover artwork. after ur opinion this album must be beautiful on its outside but inside aswell : ) definitely gonna check it! thanks, again!

since u are my last.fm friend i hope u dont mind asking u something... it seems u've listened quite alot to The Ruins of Beverast - i'm kinda new to this genre to be honest, but i listened to one of his albums and was really impressed, even more than that. especially the opener track of 'The Foulest Semen Of A Sheltered Elite' completely swept me away. it was one of the few privotal moments in my life considering music, those archaic choral parts united with black metal, its bloody amazing! i was speechless! i'd like to know if u could recommend me something similiar, or maybe another album of The Ruins of Beverast because i'm totally a beginner and dont know where to go with that : ) thanks much in advance!

Hey man! Sorry for not introducing myself properly first. I've seen your name and avatar at a lot of shoutboxes of bands and projects I like. Have checked out your library in the past as well, and decided it was time to add you as a friend. Midnight Odyssey is amazing. So magical and rad, as Dio would say. I'm also a huge fan of Lustre. Been searching for similar stuff for some time. Do you have any recommendations in that respect? I see you listen to Caladan Brood as well! What did you think of their debut? I loved it - and I still do. Greetings from The Netherlands. \m/
