some are uploaded to flickr, but not all since flickr wants my money. there is a slight chance i did a back up myself to my external harddrive, but im a bit afraid to check. im trying to get used to the idea that its all gone.

im fine! re-installation of windows looked like it went fine, computer was an angel, and completely silent. i turned it off, and after that i havent been able to start it at all. im not happy. and guess what? linnea was supposed to back up everything, but forgot shared documents folder. all my photos are gone.

computer has been wonky ever since we started using new tv as second monitor, to watch downloaded stuff. last couple of weeks, i had to restart it like 10 times to get it going, like twice a day. thats why we decided to reinstall windows. i dont know maybe that wont help either. im prepared to buy a new one anyway.

ok it was a bit of a joke. thing is, we found a recovery cd and tried to use it. turned out it had windows ME on it, it was from my old computer. cancelled, but windows was gone. tried to install ME, just to get it started - and now it wants a second disk, i get the impression that installation/recovery cd looks for the diskette station, but i dont have one. anyway, now we have a windows xp cd on loan from linneas friend, im going to give it a go. i was thinking it would have been very convenient to have you near by! everything ok with you?
