They are very proficient in a live setting and achieve an excellent sound without the use of traditional amplifiers/cabinets. They would not come back and play another for us, which was rather disappointing as well as uncommon.

I enjoy the new The Faceless very much. The change is for the better. I enjoyed that Brewer enough to pick it up when I saw The Faceless live earlier this week.

The new album hasn't really sunk into my head that much since I got the crappy quality leak of it, it wasn't exactly pleasing to the ears, but I'll come around to listening to it very soon. As far as I know I really enjoyed Holomovement and you're dead right, a very Cynic-ish feel is incorporated, which I love! tbh I have yet to really, I guess.. let Exoplanet register in my head haha, I like what I hear, but it's hard for me to remember the songs! And you didn't like new Periphery then, no? haha. I'm not the biggest Periphery fan out there, but it has to be said that they did a good job on it, and I particularly enjoyed it. It's evident that they're really proud and happy about it. Just having fun with what they do, and that's what I admire in musicians!

Ah I never really pay attention to production that much. It's the last thing I think about really. You can have amazing production but an absolute piece of shit product. Product > Production, for me. But aye fair enough like! I like every single song coz i r big fanboi lolz. It's just Meshuggah being Meshuggah. Why people said "awh yeah this release will fucking destroy all these djent bands!!!11", I don't know. Hardly they give a fuck about that other shite and feel the need to over-compete. It's just them doing what they do best, really. /rant. haha

Haha wooop. I absolutely love the two tracks. Be they slow/repetitive/whatever, I don't see anything wrong with that. Yeah I didn't entirely like them when I heard the earlier stuff, but Eclipse is defo something to get you into them.
